sigh, I put again because I've been saying all month that Klopp is the decision maker. He decides who goes and who stays. He said it here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGnAuObNqMc
and here
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/jan/12/Jürgen-klopp-philippe-coutinho-liverpool-barcelona
and many more
Then you bring up an article that is pure speculation from a journalist who ''heard'' rumors from inside the club stating that Klopp threatened to quit if FSG sold Coutinho? Well everyone was adamant that Coutinho wouldn't be sold in the summer, so that's kind of contradicting from the journalist, I smell BS.
I believe in Klopp's words, he's the one who is saying the truth and no one else. He's been telling journalists over and over again that he tried his best to keep Coutinho, it was his decision to sell him and the money from the sale will go into investing players be it in Jan or in the summer. Stop it with this nonsense. If he finds that if it's worth it to spend 80m or 90m on Lemar he will do it.
He said here
http://www.firstpost.com/sports/premier-league-liverpools-owners-will-determine-philippe-coutinhos-future-at-the-club-says-Jürgen-klopp-3925259.htmland many other places that
Premier League: Liverpool's owners will determine Philippe Coutinho's future at the club, says Jürgen Klopp
https://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/Jürgen-klopp-expects-liverpool-chiefs-to-resist-philippe-coutinho-exit-bid-36025847.htmlNow like it or not does it sound as if Klopp has the final say on players...?
But yet again you have ignored the point i was making...
"Are we being distracted with the whole Naby Keita will we get him early things so we are not noticing that we will not get a replacement for Coutinho in this window"
Now when i suggested here many months ago that Klopp many not have the final say on who comes and who goes many here where saying that Klopp would resign if FSG dared to impose their vision of how Liverpool is run on him, But here we are, Klopp wanting to originally keep Coutinho, going as far as to threaten to leave the club to selling Coutinho and still remaining at the club....
Now I see nothing wrong with someone changing their mind on either the sale of Coutinho (which I believe was better in the long run) or Klopp staying as manager, but please don't try and tell me that the owners are giving Klopp carte blanche to run, and by players that Klopp see fit and that FSG'S prime directive of buying cheap with a resalable value did not coming to it here and will not figure in any future sales
Edit..
You say that FSG has stated that all the money from the sell of Coutinho will go to Klopp for future transfers... But what you nor I can truly know was the £75m paid for VVD a part loan against the money expected form the sale of Coutinho
