We started off ok but as soon as Sturridge got the goal we just sort of went down a few gears. Still had a few chances in the first half but weren't as crisp as we should of been against what is an average non-league side. Second half was just a shambles.
Jones - steady and commanded his box very well, especially coming for the crosses.
Wisdom - steady again.
Coates - awful, got bullied by Green.
Carra - decent.
Robinson - quality again at left back, always available when we did attack and didn't struggle too much defensively.
Lucas - sh*te again.
Allen - wouldn't be arsed if he left tomorrow.
Suso - wasteful every time he did get the ball.
Shelvey - not good enough.
Downing - looked to get into dangerous positions but didn't do enough when he got there.
Sturridge - well taken goal and all round did ok, could (and probably should) of had another goal or two though.
Suarez - dangerous whenever he got the ball, just didn't get it enough.
Henderson - kept the ball well when he initially came on then I didn't see him for the last 20 minutes or so.
Flanagan - not good enough.
All in all it wasn't the kind of performance I'd expect from a team coming off the back of two extremely comfortable wins. We looked nervous and played like we weren't arsed which I can't accept from any Liverpool player. This is the sort of game that certain players should be breaking their bollocks in to try and get into the first XI all the time - that didn't happen. Too many players with the attitude of I'm too good to play at Filed Mill.
But a win is a win and I'll take a win anytime. So onto the next round where we take on Oldham down at Boundary Park. After last year's 5-1 hammering and the "racist chant aimed" at Adeyemi, they'll certainly be up for it and it should be a sterner test than tonight. Would love to see us tw*t them as I've never liked Paul Dickov - saying that, he might not even be the manager by then.
FA Cup number 8 - we're on our way.
