What I find frustrating is this - at what point this year has A) our defense been stout enough to just sit back and absorb pressure or B) a direct style been effective?
If Sturridge was in there at least he might hold up the ball well enough, but I don't want Suarez doing that job. We're supposed to be this death-by-football, possession-is-the-key football club, yet we were content to do the opposite here.
We have kept just 2 clean sheets this calendar year, conceding 14 goals in 9 games. Was it really the plan to simply not concede?
EDIT: Can't pin this all on BR. Suarez had the chances and flat out missed. I just don't agree with the mentality regardless of those misses. It was playing with fire.
