Wow.

For me the front four of Suarez, Sturridge, Coutinho and Downing have been very impressive.

Agger's problem on set pieces is he ball watches and then by the time he tries to recover, it's too late.

Battered them but this is by no means comfortable, we have had chance after chance but only lead because of a penalty. Need to stay focused because 1-0 is a dangerous scoreline, especially for us this season.

Prove it

Played well 1st half but with only one goal to show for it we're always vulnerable. Need to come out 2nd half and maybe get a quick one to keep on top of them. Don't want us going too long with just the one otherwise the nerves might kick in especially since they're bound to change things up at some point.

Buying Sturridge has allowed us to change from a 'false 9' 4-3-3 to a 4-2-3-1 which is why there is such a difference when Sturridge plays.

I like Coutinho so far , he has a good eye for the ball .

Good half that but the score line should of been so much better! We have rued miss chances all season but dont seem to be learning from it! Should be put to bed and it aint by any stretch considering how poor we are defending!

Suarez is a beast!
Agger going forward well but not defending well
Downing and Johnson and Coutinho Jose are all seriously scaring the Swansea full backs!
Gerrard pinging the ball around nicely!

None so far... best team on pitch! Young coutinho may run outta steam but until then leave as is!

Downing was great but I still think he doesn't quite fit. The other 3 are so fluid and interchanging but he is always just out on the right. Still been very good

Sturrideg should have a few by now, our new chappy should have scored one too! Suarez as always unreal. Liking Gerrard in this 'quarter back' role and Lucas had been great. Wasteful as always - but that will change once Sturridge sets some games under his belt.

Need to keep it tight and get a quick goal after the break to see this one out! Well played, but still 45 to go so come on you mighty redmen!

Whoscored is better for that. It says we have had 52.5% and they have had 47.5%

He's been excellent so far though.

Good half from us, but my God we should more than 1-0 up. Should easily be 2-0 or 3-0 had we been more clinical. Our attack has been very good vs a weakened Swansea side.

As for our defending, a lot is left to be desired for me. We look very vulnerable despite have 21 shots in the half. Set pieces still make me nervous, and Carragher's done a great job of organizing back there. We need to tighten up at the back because I can see us getting hit on the counter.

Overall though, good stuff. A very one-sided half. Bag a couple more, don't concede, three points in the bag.

Agger again losing his target, Sturridge looks a little off the pace, Suarez needs to tighten up his shooting, Coutinho is going to be a handful for defences, and Lucas has been immense!

There was a spell in the second half, about 2 minutes, we were so dominant it was scary - more of that please

We need to step out in the second half and clean the park with them. Swansea are AWFUL today and we could use this as a good confidence boosting game - they obviously are just focused on next week.

Oh and special mention for Coutinho. He's looked very very good in the attack. Other than shocker of a miss

Mention about Lucas who has been excellent as well alongside Gerrard.

They are easily our best tow in midfield and was great seeing both of them really push high up the pitch during a spell of pressure we had as it really helped to peg them back on the edge of thier box.

Swanseas goalkeeper read Stevies Penalty and was unlucky not to have saved it , I think Stevie is unsure of himself at the moment .
