Role in the club for past greats
      May 04, 2013 09:27:54 am
We have seen that great picture of the boss talking to Ronnie Moran at Melwood. Ronnie has probabaly forgotten more about the game thenmost managers around have ever learned.

Could there still be a role at the club for someone like Ronnie? Roy Evans also. They have been there and seen it all surely age does not come into it in relation to a role at a football club? Perhaps they could work with the youths? But would the youths know who they are and give the respect deserved?

Can these men still play a role and if so what role?

If Ronnie could impart some of his knowledge learned as a player from Bill Shankly,Bob Paisley and Joe Fagan to the young lads then the club would be on a winner.

Surely they could be part of a committee looking out for the best interest of the club?.

There's so much knowledge and experience out there in the shape of our former greats. If we do push on next season, and are serious contenders for top 4, it would be useful if BR had access to a panel of 'wise men'.  I'm sure there are a number of them who would relish the opportunity. Who knows, the combined tactical knowledge could help.

They could. Look at Bayern and their legends. We should follow suit.
