his head has totally gone and he looks scared bless him, i think if he has just one solid game with a few saves and clean sheet it will help him get back to the player he was when we bought him. still needs to work harder on collection and distribution of the ball. also to grow a pair and start commanding that box.

he had that game.  It was away at Madrid.

He then proceeded to revert to being sh*te.

Even against Madrid he done two things badly to every one thing he got right.

What he's "done" in the last few games before the mistake against Ludogorets?

You mean against Palace when he kicked an uncontested free kick into the stands, directly leading to their goal, which then went right through his legs?

He wasnt that great when we signed him so basically he is still playing at thst level.

Needs either to command the area and start winning in the air or he will get shipped...

However, with only Brad Jones as competition I would expect him to keep his place (I have always liked Jones to be honest, seems like a great bloke) regardless. Now, had we kept Pepe then I would expect him to be playing...

We used to have some decent reserve goalkeepers. I remember always thinking Gulacsi was a decent backup. I've never understood the complacency with keeping Brad Jones as our only back up keeper.

Should never have sold Reina for this clown. Reina commanded bigger wages for a simple reason, because he's actually a good keeper!

I've banged on in the past about how he makes our defence looks worse than it is by NEVER coming out for crosses and his absolute lack of communication. Crosses into the box, from set pieces especially, are all a percentage game. If you have a keeper who is rooted to his line, then every cross is a 50/50 chance of getting a shot on target. This is how it's been for a few seasons now!

The guy is a plain and simple liability. Get rid. I don't care if his confidence is low. A goalkeeper is responsible for his own morale and he needs to man up and start hitting the gym the stick.

When it comes to saves like that he doesn't surprise me at all. It's most of the other stuff, he had a solid game today though. I can't remember him putting a foot wrong today.

Has all the attributes to be a class keeper in the same way Dr Gea has turnt out. Amazing shot stopper just needs to learn to sweep a bit more and catch and we'll have one of the best keepers around!

As long as we get a better keeper coach  :f_whistle:

To be fair De Gea was already a good keeper, and not forgetting very young as well, just took him a while to settle into the English game. In Spain he wasn't getting crowded out on set pieces, making things difficult for him but he worked on his game and has unfortunately looked a very good keeper.

Migs I think is just generally a run of the mill keeper, there's nothing special about him to make him succeed at a high level but then he would probably be a good player to have for a team battling it out at the relegation end of the table where there is less pressure on him, probably why he was rated fairly highly at Sunderland.

federer I've actually grew to respect you and this place wouldn' t be the same without you, you nugget of joy, there is no answer, Begovic isn't the answer now, our goalie won't be Petr Cech or mr Begovic. Our future goalie is more likely to be Forster or a south American.

Save of the season from Bojans volley

Certainly his best save. That's what he does best actually, working on pure reactions. When he has to think about something he crumbles time after time. Wish he could bottle that reaction save instinct and use it throughout the rest of his game

The only reference  that could be used is previous accomplishment which Pepe has in abundance.
His better days are behind him of course yet he is still a match for the majority of 'keepers.
