Year in year out it's the same Arsenal, banging in a bagful of goals in the early stage and deflated at a later stage.

3 points in the bag is all that matters.

Like they say in golf, "it's not how, it's how many that counts".

Is that when you're on your 6th putt on the first Swab lad?

Quite often they start horribly too, and actually finish strongly to secure fourth ahead of the chasing pack. They did the same last year.

This time the Ozil effect seemed to create a much stronger belief in the early stages, but I think his downturn in form, and the very painful loss of Ramsey - who was outstanding until his injury - have hit them hard. Plus the lack of any attacking support for Giroud.

I was at the Emirates for that 2-0 defeat and they looked light years ahead of us and it was the first time I thought they could genuinely challenge for quite some time.

I don't think there's all that much wrong, because if they buy a top striker and also a proper leader of men to hold in midfield, they are a very decent side.

Having said that, we've been saying that for the last 10 years.

It is at the moment  :lmao:

Can't rotate through the shot properly because my hip is buggered, but I still keep going out there.
      Maybe I have a masochistic streak I didn't know about  ;D

It's the ligaments that attach the ball to the socket.
Apparently I damaged them training for the marathon I never did.

I have to see a consultant surgeon on monday to have the damage assessed, then go from there.

I'm pushing 53 and 24 yrs is hell of a long time !

Steve at 53 your just a lad with a mans head, I do agree 24 years is far too long to wait to win the league. Like you Steve I yearn for the success we had in the 1960s/70s and 80s.

You are right. Either they put on a champion like performance in the early stage and fizzles out at a later stage or started poorly and ended up getting the CL spot. Either way, they are short of championship quality, not sure where the problem lies, not interested. I'm more concern with the development of our own team.
