Liverpool are reportedly eyeing an £18 million swoop for Barcelona ace Alexis Sanchez.
Kop boss Brendan Rodgers is understood to have run the rule over the Chilean forward, 25, as he prepares to boost his squad for a return to the Champions League next season.
The player is said to want to quit Barca because he wants to start more games.
However, according to the Daily Star Sunday, a deal won't be concluded until after Sanchez plays for Chile at this summer's World Cup in Brazil.
The player, who can operate either as a striker or on the wing, cost Barca £25million when he moved from Udinese.
He earns £90k-a-week at the Nou Camp.
Sanchez gave a memorable performance when Chile defeated England at Wembley in November, scoring both his side's goals in a 2-0 win.
