This Summer is starting to go badly wrong.Missing out on Alexis, apparently not getting Moreno,Borini refusing to go to Sunderland and give us an extra 14million,Remy failling his medical,Lallana getting injured.

If this doesn't get you depressed, than nothing will
I was thinking this myself mate, we got off to a good start but everything seems to be going against us recently.

Bet that was after one of his nights out.

smoking during a medical would be frowned upon these days ;D

      this from his wikipedia

On 19 August 2010, Olympique de Marseille confirmed on the club's official website that it had reached an agreement with Nice for the transfer of Rémy. Rémy underwent a medical on the same day and signed a five-year contract.[37][38] He was presented to the press on 20 August.[39] The transfer fee is undisclosed, but is reported to be in the region of €15 million.[40] During Rémy's press conference, Marseille president Jean-Claude Dassier revealed that, during the player's medical, tests revealed that Rémy suffered from a possible heart defect. Rémy missed the team's league match against Lorient on 21 August and further tests were conducted on 23 August to determine whether the defect could be career-threatening.[41][42] On 24 August, Rémy was declared fit to practice and play the sport of football at a high level by Marseille doctors and heart specialists consulted by the club.[43][/b]

Maybe the same problem emerged here, but he played on for nearly 4 years  after that

Shame to be honest, he would have been good for us ,me think

we will not start the season with just Lambert and Sturridge up front. If we do someone will be out of a job. Lots of work to do for Ayres and the committee.

Very disappointed by this. I honestly thought he'd be perfect for us and at a snip of a price too. Very disappointing for the lad himself I'm sure.  Also disappointed Borini isn't going. Definitely feel he's not the answer for us. So who now?

Whatever the reason now its been brought to light Liverpool have dodged a bullet .
Brendan will have his list he just got ticked off ours we move on plenty more out there, as for the guy I hope it works out for him his career just got dealt a massive blow.

Only guy I can think off that had trouble with a medical and carried on was Asa Hartford ( heart )I think ,he did pretty well if I remember ,
he was a Man City or Leeds player at the time ??

Never known anyone to fail a medical.

Its rare as hens teeth - but from memory did Carlos Teves not fail one at Chelsea, and I am sure Ba failed one somewhere too...

Wow, that's terrible luck. Feel sorry for Remy as this would have been a dream move for him. I'm glad we flagged the problem early enough so that he can get whatever medical evaluation he might need.

We'll just have to move on to other targets.

Would say yes - and perhaps Reus as its also reported on Twitter we have 'officials in Germany'... I think this is almost the first time Twitter seems to be right on a player!

Jay Rodriguez... according to a few newspapers this morning.
That would make it 4 transfers from 1 team...

When Marseille suddenly accepted to sell him (for a very low price and to a strange destination considering his quality, and that they were refusing to sell him at any price the summer before) there were rumors in France it was because he failed a drug test.

Possibly he was controlled positive to something again.

What puzzles me is  ,,Did QPR know about this problem the player has, If Yes they were trying to screw LFC -, if not they have sh*t medical board,,,,, Because I think its not a small problem he has to force LFC to walk off the deal all -together, if he is carrying a knee-calf-groin injury he would have come fit and good in a few weeks, we recenty bought a couple of players who were recovering from injuries, so I think it is somehow  a serious issue we are looking at
