Off topic slightly but why was Lambert given the no.9

Are these jersey numbers just meaningless nowadays?

If the price looks to good to be true it usually is.

And now Remi's agent is saying that the player did not fail the medical, but LFC pulled out because of borini wanting to stay at LIVERPOOL and don't want a move to sunderland

Yes, it's a squad game now.

I always admired the Argentina squad numbering system for the '78 World Cup.

Some sources are saying we didn't sign Remy because Borini refused to go to Sunderland.

There were issues surrounding his heart when he was heading to Marseille from Nice. Could be the same problem that was brought to our attention?

This is a strange one indeed. He has a very good fitness record only injured a total if 11 weeks in his career. Obviously if there are question marks over his long term fitness we can't take the gamble. The last player to fail his medical was that Marveux guy Newcastle ended up signing who has been on the treatment table since. I'll be annoyed if he goes back to Newcastle and scores a hat full this season though.

      Can't see that happening mate.

Rodgers on Remy "We're disappointed for the player but there's nothing more to be said and we will move on and look at other targets."
