I've loved this guy since I saw him play for Leverkusen! Biggest prospect for us!

During the second half, he was near the Madrid box when we lost the ball. He ran all the way back to somewhere near our box to win the ball back. He chased down the ball for more than half the length of the pitch.

Really like him. Can't remember the last time we had someone from centre midfield who actually wanted to run with it.

Can & Lucas should start against the Chavs but Can should be a regular in that midfield.

Yeah, the kid has great potential. The only thing he really needs to improve is his passing can be a bit wayward at times. If he can sharpen that up then he'll be a beast!!

His passing is fine all players are likely to misplace a pass, Its much harder passing forward rather than backwards like Hendo and Allen have been all season.
Needs more game time to improve his fitness.

Always rated the lad and glad that he wasn't F***ing loaned out like our other hopefuls.
Should be given more action, there are one or two aspects of his general play that need honing but that'll be reet soon enuf.

Was an eye catching performance from him last night and no mistake. I actually thought he dovetailed very well with Lucas, and it says much about the performances of Gerrard and Henderson respectively that I would be totally unconcerned if we didn't change our holding two for Saturday.

I wanna see him crack in his first goal against The Chav cu*ts this weekend. Hope he gets a start and cements his spot in the side. Time for our midfielders to start scoring goals. It could become infectious if he does.

You can add Stevie to that list.  Stevie's role right now is essentially DM.  That was Can's best role at Leverkusen.  But we saw last night that he can also go forward with power and pace.  Stevie can't do that anymore.

Henderson hasn't done well this season.  Joe Allen is being Joe Allen.

For me Emre Can has to be the first midfielder on the teamsheet right now.  Lucas did very well last night too, so I would have them both down.  Coutinho or Lallana as an attacking midfielder with them.

Well if you're doubting Can you must have zero faith in the rest of the squad.

Think he'll easily establish himself as our best midfielder by the end of season.

Not sure what's wrong with his fitness, but before he came off he looked like he was running through treacle, and he still looks a bit overweight to me, so maybe that's the reason.

A good game for him overall though.

The only player that looked to want to shoot from outside the box today. Really happy that he scored that goal although it was helped by a deflection.

Somehow, he seems to look a bit clumsy with the ball at his feet! Haha

Him and Coutinho were easily our best players, still can't understand why either was taken off, baffling.
