Not sure about this, but apparently he's a free agent.

He had a good game against Brazil, and he seems pretty unorthodox, but at 5'11" may not be suited to the premier league.

Played last night, has a good game, the world found out he's a free agent.

Liverpool FC is closed, all employees are on holiday, or working at the world cup, except obviously one. That single person get straight on the 'phone to the Express.

But alas no, The Express has decided that despite having 2 1st team goalkeepers at the world cup, we need another one, and makes up this story.

Which is why I said I wasn't sure about it.
A nice way of saying I thought it was bollocks.
Perhaps next time I should come straight out with it  ;D

Not having a go at you Swab, but the Express.

I did get the gist of your skepticism.

I know, just thought I should clarify for others.
I saw it on the BBC, which linked to the express, and as it wasn't a banned publication, thought it might be worth a chat about him.
I also remembered the match thread where someone mentioned he might now become a flavour of the month player. ;)

He's very unorthodox it has to be said, but also a bit lightweight, and short for a goalie.
I'd be amazed if we were even looking at him, but stranger things have happened :D

Hopefully we would judge him on his time at his club vs. one good showing (so far) at the WC. Hasn't lit the world on fire for his club has he?

Didn't impress me that much in the Brazil match either.
I think he got lucky, and made one save that any half decent goalie would.

I've seen him playing for Mexico and his former club America for many years and I don't think he is good enough for LFC. A couple of weeks ago the Mexican press didn't think he was going to start in this WC, Corona, the second keeper, was their preferred choice.

Most of his saves, though impressive, were right at him.

He was an absolute world beater on one of the older Football Managers if that's anything to go by. :f_tongueincheek:

No thanks - think he would be better suited to Billy Smart's Circus.
