This guy has turned out to be massive flop!

I was surprised at lazer boy going on loan, but if he is going to play week in week out, it might be good for us in the long run.

Personally Id have prefered a loan in UK, but it is what it is.

Sorry, I had it in my head somehow that he was older? but you are right and I cant really argue with that.

Maybe moving him to turkey isn't the best shout though, yes hes going to be surrounded by quality players but he isn't going to be cut out for the weather in England next season or am i being hypochondriacal?

Can't say I'm surprised that he's playing well considering he is featuring in a more natural position. Here's hoping a managerial change sees him get a new chance here next season....

Fancy playing him up front what sort of a manager have they got has he no sense of vision. Or maybe he likes playing players in the position they are best at it. Still annoys me that we let  him go out on loan and now we have now real wingers at the club other than young Jordan

Good on him! Think everyone knows he has the talent but was very much deer in the headlights last season. Hope he keeps performing and comes back a better player.

I'd like to be able to comment on that but we barely saw Markovic play and we are barely seeing Firmino play.

We seem to be quite fond of the square peg for the round hole.

Sad thing is the policy seems to be to buy a player because we can rather than because it is what the team needs to improve.

Brendan doesn't like specialists, he likes versatile which I quite liked at the beginning because it gave us options but now, we've ended up with most of our best attacking players playing in the same position making it impossible to have them all playing at the same time and still leaving us weak in other areas.

I agree that's how it feels like we recruit mate and until it changes we'll continue to have a huge turnover of players every year making it more and more difficult to get anything to gel.

Disgraceful how Markovic has been treated since he arrived here. Forced to play out of position last season and still did ok. Has a decent pre season and his reward... shipped out on loan because Rodgers doesn't fancy him or see him in his plans or maybe he just doesn't fit Brendan's "style" whetever the f**k that is anymore. Seven games into the season and he's played six different f**king formations f**king stumbling along until he finds a formation in which we don't ship three f**king goals a game. F***ing fed up with this sh*t new season same f**king sh*t! Probably better that Lazar was loaned our anyway or he'd have to endure another season as a f**king back up wing back. Sick of this sh*t. Sick of watching us play mediocre passionless sh*te every week.

Well he looks excellent in that video, but can he replicate that in EPL? He never showed any of that aggression last year whenever he played. He looked intimidated by the physicality of the league. Now he is playing in Turkey and suddenly found out that he can take on players, get passed them, tackle and win possession; skills that made him being recognized as a huge talent when he was at Benfica.

There's no guarantee that he doesn't look frail again when he comes backs next year.

Never had a run of games in his preferred option looks ten times the player Jordan Ibe is yet one started the season and the other shipped out on loan.

John Henry had nothing to do with that decision that I am 100% certain.

Totally agree with all of this. Utterly pissed off with the mismanagement of this guy.

The list is endless of players that came to us with good reputations and track records that just never pushed on and delivered what was expected for one reason or another.
The list is also ridiculously long for young players that were apparently the next big thing that never developed and stayed at the club.

Something is and has been desperately wrong at our club for a long long time.
