Yeah, all the best but I am surprised too, especially hearing how he would not take a wage cut to leave us, so glad bayern are going for him

all we need to do is sell agger, loan out a couple of our cbs and that should seriously free up funds for a very good striker

Don't see the logic in it for Reina tbh, just going there to warm the bench. Doubt he will get the nod against fan favourite Neur.

Pity him and Rodgers couldn't put their differences aside, as much as I think Reina's form dipped when here I'd of loved him too push Mignolet and vice versa.

Pepe was amazing for us under Rafa don't really understand how he declined so much, I am assuming his confidence went or something has affected him mentally.
The fee is pathetic when u see how much we paid for Mig but those wages being freed up could be huge for us

Reina played in the Barcelona team with Guardiola that Liverpool beat in the Uefa Cup semi in 2001. Guardiola obviously knows Pepe is a good character as well as a good keeper.

Shame it came to this but probably best all round for Pepe and LFC. Clearly after what happened last year BR did not have him in his plans moving forward.

Imo, if he was willing to stay with us as 2nd choice/challenger for Migs, that would be great.  Think the squad would be better for him, if he was up for it.
Is Neuer not at Bayern? If not being first choice was the problem, why would he go there then? Rather than somewhere he'd get 1st team football  Cause it's better to be 2nd choice at Bayern?
Has he fallen out with BR/the club, or is he just not willing to be no.2 at the club where he was no.1 for so long.
Anyway, if he goes, good luck to him. Been a top player for the club, and a great guy.

Bayern are a fantastic club and Munich is a great city, so there are worse places you could play back up goalie.

Milan would have been ideal for him. The Milanello training ground is quality.

Loved Reina but his performances slipped to much from Rafa's days. Happy to get him of the wage bills now though and will hopefully free up wages for a marquee signing.

Brendan said we were a very small squad last season and now with CL football we can hardly start trimming it even further.

Would rather he was our back-up keeper than someone else's given we have only got career back up Brad Jones to give Mignolet any sort of push. I thought we had £75 million burning a hole in the coffers to go with new TV and sponsorship deals but once a gain we're all in FSG accountant mode on this one.
