no worries, I'm done, I won't say another word about Mignolet or Romero.  Clearly the truth is not welcome.

It might have been more welcome in the relevant thread (Mignolets)

Think this guys a good shot stopper, would be a upgrade from Jones, if we can get him for a reasonable price I don't see why not.

I think you are all being a bit hard on Fed.

Back on topic I think we do need someone to give some genuine competition to Migs and Jones was never going to provide that, so hopefully we can bring in a quality player that can.

Can't say I know much about Romario and a quick read of Wiki only told me he doesn't score many goals :)

Huge difference between the truth and your personal beliefs, as you've shown in the past and will no doubt in the future.

Mate, he knew the way he worded the initial post the type of reaction he was going to get, his tone in that post was clear to see. He wanted us all to bite and unfortunately we did. No one claims Mignolet is faultless, but this wasn't even the thread to have that discussion.

Would be good backup but I hardly think he would be a serious threat to Simon

Wait a second, I thought Mignolet was amazing and didn't need competition and nothing at all was his fault last season.

Everyone knows that if Simon made any mistakes last season, it was really all the fault of the horrible defense, poor Simon, it's Skrtel's fault he is a pussy in the box, it was Glen Johnson's fault that Mignolet doesn't talk to the defenders, etc etc....

      Saint Simon!

Aren't you just a little bit too old for that?

He posted, knew the reaction he'd get and people still fed (get it?!) the troll. Just don't respond to him.

Romero looked ok at the last World Cup. Haven't paid attention to him since. But we do need a back up so maybe a good deal can be struck.

Okay.  You're all right.   I shouldn't have posted my original thoughts here in the Romero thread, that was mostly irrelevant to whether or not Romero is coming in.

I do stand by everything I said about Mignolet not being good enough though, but I shouldn't have brought it up in this thread.  So I apologize.

Oh I thought you were done posting permanently across the board?  Hell if it's only this thread then I don't even care anymore.

Well the missus and I are going on holiday next Monday so you'll have a whole week without me.   ;D

I think he's much better than Jones, especially because I don't rate Jones at all - he's a League One keeper at best, in my eyes.
Don't think Argentina have had a great goalkeeper in quite a long time. Romero is not a bad keeper, I just don't see him as a top level one. Migs isn't quite there yet I fear, but I see much more potential. I'd be happy to have someone fighting for the position though, even if I find it unlikely that Romero would ever be our everyday keeper

His opening post was a disgrace, he deserved to be called on it and ridiculed for it.  It was actually made worse when he showed he could post sensibly when his second post said nearly the same as the first, albeit with less of the abrasive douchery.  It's a shame he feels he has to post that way, when he has shown he doesn't need to.

He wanted our attention and by god he got it, reminded me off me when i was a little sh*t back in school and was bored so used to make fun of the teacher (right little sh*t i know). Its all done and dusted now though, his apologized so we move on.

Has ANYONE seen him play at club level?

But for Monaco to want him on loan with sh*t loads of money they had, he must have warranted some kind of recognition?

Don't think that's the discussion, mate. More focussed on whether he would be good enough competition for Mig, ie. Better than Jones.

Depends on how good Danijel Subašić was, but I don't know that either. :)

Jones does his stuff and I like the guy, I'd even trust him coming on, we do need a third keeper though. This guy doesn't blow my mind, but, I'm not an expert.

Boss nickname, I watched that youtube before my last post and thought hm didn't impress me that much.
I always want to be wrong with our players (new possible ones too)
I'd rather be wrong than right, because.. prove me wrong and we all still win.
