We nearly conceded twice in the first 10 minutes because Gerrard couldn't keep up, not smoking anything! Also, there were quite a few occasions when he had the ball and a few yards of space and he kept trying to do long balls to Sterling.

Today's performance for me looked like we were containing as much as we could because we knew they could get past us easily if they needed too. Baring a couple of saves from Mignolet they could of got 2 or 3.

That scoreline was inevitable given the side he put out. Utterly toothless, no creativity, no clue, no desire. I'd go so far as to say this is Rodgers' poorest season since he was at Reading, on the back of the poorest transfer Window in years. We look a pale shadow of the side we where last year and at this rate we'll be lucky to make Europa league next season.

You're no better off buying big numbers than you are buying lesser players who are of high quality. All it means is that even when you do rotate you're still playing average to half decent players.
