It was a solid performance. Should have been 2 or 3 up though. But three wins in four isn't bad.

MOTM, Markovic, was fantastic and worked tirelessly as well as getting the winning goal.

Special mention to Lucas, was absolutely immense. If it weren't for Markovic's goal, he would've been my MOTM.

If we had some finishers on the pitch it would of been a totally different story, happy with that. I thought Sakho, Can, Coutinho (except his shooting), Lucas and Markovic were excellent.

Was quality that, looked made up for Mignolet and rightly so, he was much better today.

Great first half, deserved more than a 1-0 lead, but a woeful second half once Sunderland went down to 10. Overall a good performance albeit we made it tricky for ourselves late on. Besides simply getting the job done and getting 3 points, I'm the happiest with the fact we kept a clean sheet away. Good stuff.

Markovic was obviously MOTM. The performance he put in today is much closer to what his potential is. He tracked well, good take-ons, good efforts on goal, etc. Great game from Lazar.

I also thought Lucas and Can had very good games as well. Lucas was one of the few good performers in the second, keeping a level head and breaking up play consistently. Can again showed his versatility and overall quality; he's going to be immense in the coming years.

End of the day, we won! And without Sturridge, Sterling and Lallana too. We're starting to finally find our feet a tad bit. Can't wait to see Daniel up top with this team.

Afraid Hendo is not captain material, had s very poor second half when he should have raised his game. Tried to take control with the free kick and cocked it up.
Three points in the bag, but not convinced we can do enough without a more robust, dynamic centre mid to replace stevie.

Agree. Tactical error that.  Not only did he reshuffle the team but moving Markovic into the middle and putting Can out in his place unbalanced the team.  Markovic had done very well first half - moving him was counter-productive.

Made up with the points, but on the basis of that first half we should have banged a few in and been pushing past West Ham on goal difference.
