Or Carlton, Collingwood, Hawthorn, Freeo and nearly a dozen others... :P

Good stuff lads. Tickets should be out closer to the end of the season. Hopefully they rock up in Brisbane few days early to train and meet the fans like they did in Melbourne.

And thank God they decided to go Brisbane first. Means we get to stay there longer than Adelaide!

Liverpool FC coming to my home city, the home ground of my great Aussie rules footy club (Port Adelaide FC). I hope many of you take the trip over. Sure, Melbourne is great, but Adelaide is a beautiful city that has been effortlessly modernised the past couple of years. The beautiful Adelaide Oval in the heart of the city really sets the scene. We are a sports state and a proud and true state, a cultured city,  you Brits will feel right at home, we are basically your second home anyway!

I don't work Mondays, so I'll get to be one of those people hanging in the city all day, finding out what hotel they're staying at and generally soaking in the day. Reds are going to take the city over like us Port supporters do every home game.

Dont you ever and I mean ever mention in the same sentence, those lying cheating cu*ts and us the blueboys in the same sentence.

Many other clubs push the Sports Science envelope and get away with it.

Lovin the banter between all you Oz fans, if Saints are the west hams & Collingwood are the chavs of Aussie rules then who are the Liverpool ?

And is it true that when Aussies are born they have a scar of a ball. & chain around their ankle ?

I reckon Port Adelaide are like Liverpool.. you have the buzz centre of London/Melbourne where the overhyped glamour clubs sit, but the real character and passion of the competitions comes from these traditionally working class clubs in cities like Port Adelaide and Liverpool. We don't get the backing of the big bad media and we don't have endless riches but who needs them when you have a living breathing community club to be a part of?

Landed tickets in the KOP for Brissy in section 312. Nothing for Adelaide.

Hopefully a couple KOP tickets for Adelaide come available on eBay or something. Probably will have to fork out 3x the price.

F***ing livid just wasted the best part of the hour for nothing.

Tried to get tickets for my dad younger brother, sister and the missus. The only category available with 5 tickets was Category 1 and 2 at a ripoff over $1000-1200 tried the 3 and 2 combo but can't even get that fuking so pissed off right now. I don't know what to do try the general sale perhaps.

Right now they will be way overpriced.

Mate, I'm flying into Brisbane on the morning of the game, watching it, then off to the Pub then off to the Airport as have a flight out next morning direct to Adelaide. All the boys having a massive bender all weekend, then to the Adelaide game and fly out next morning to come back home. 4 days without the wife and kids and just plenty of booze, singing and laughter.

Gonna be 4 great days.  :food-smiley-005: :cool-smiley-027: :dunceblock:

Gonna have to meet up with a few of my fine fellow Aussie Reds finally, got tickets for the Brissy leg of the tour! Absolutely made up, will be the first time I ever see the lads live and in person. May be a friendly, but will mean a lot to me. As many who know me will attest to, Anfield is still top of the bucket list but until I can financially do the dream trip over there this will do absolutely nicely in the mean time!

Also a sense of irony in that I live literally an hours drive (in good traffic) from Adelaide Oval, but the once in five year Verner family holiday up to the beautiful Sunshine Coast (hour north of Brisbane) is taking place in July, so I just so happen to be away the one time the Reds decide to venture to Adelaide :D However at least I won't mind in the slightest if they decide to put a number up on the Roar! Would have flown back early if Adelaide was the only leg, but them playing in Brisbane as well saves me some coin which I'm quite thankful for.

      Gonna be a F***ing epic day/night.  :scarf: :food-smiley-005:

Bit delayed on this one, but yes. All the F***ing yes. Even had all our success before the big money and all came in, but hopefully building back up now. Last season was even a similar dick tease in being the best team in the comp at many times but just not having enough to get there.

Last game I saw was the last home game of 2004, before emigrating to Oz.  Had been a season ticket holder for 20 odd years before that so really looking forward to it.

Suncorp Stadium is more like a traditional English ground so should be a great atmosphere.

Got  Category 3 tickets online through my phone as I was lining up at a Brisbane ticket office then purchased the other 2 in person.

      Sheer luck and determination.

I tried all day to get 2 tickets for the Brisbane or Adelaide matches, no luck F**k the Aussie ticketek or whatever they call themselves. Also where have they got these outrageous ticket prices from.

As high as the prices are, when 95,000 tickets get sold in Melbourne within 33 minutes and then Brisbane and Adelaide a combined 100,000+ being sold out close to the same time, you can understand it.

My only annoyance is the people who leech off big events and buy only to sell on eBay at 3x the cost price. Kop tickets in Brisbane were $93 or something and now theyre being sold at $200+. Hate that. These people deny proper fans who want to attend and price them out if they're late on first round tickets.

If anyone has missed out I ended up with too many tickets as I was after 4 but ended up with 2+2 but then brought 4... So I've got 2 sets of 2 to sell at cost price

What I am trying to work out John is work out total cost with airfares and accommodation, I do not think it will be much more expensive to fly to the U.K. and see the REDS play in a couple of league matches. As my wife was saying at my age whatever I decide it will probably be the last time I will see the REDS live, and I am being drawn towards Liverpool and Anfield where I still have relatives.

I definitely can see where you're coming from Billy but unfortunately that's not in the line of thinking for 99% of sporting organisations.

This trip alone will cost me $2,000+. It is a ridiculously high number (especially considering Adelaide is a destination!!) but alas that is what it comes down to.

Definitely understandable. Had the games not worked in with my overall plans I would have had to make a tougher decision, at the end of the day these games are just friendlies and you'd always go a trip to Anfield that has some meaning to it. These will be incredibly fun and special, but if you have to choose - Anfield always.

F***ing univiersity has cost me a weekend in Adelaide (blessing in disguise? Sorry Dave :D ) so i have a ticket for the open training session for anyone who wants it free of charge ($20 i think it was?).

First day of the semester is the day of the game :( So i have to go class, fly to Adelaide after class, then fly back that night.
