      Liverpool v Blackburn Rovers FA Cup - Sunday 8 March K.O. 4pm
      Mar 04, 2015 11:39:10 pm
We have some real space between games now (3 games in 3 weeks) which will give the players some much needed rest.

For this tie, I'd like to see Lazar Markovic played in his more natural position and see whether he performs or not plus I'd also like the manager to rest Can, Moreno, Henderson, Sterling, Coutinho and Lallana as they could do with some time off before the big Premier League matches we have coming up. I think the team below should have more than enough to beat Blackburn at home.

      Mignolet

      Lovren - Skrtel - Sakho

      Manquillo - Gerrard - Allen - Johnson

      Markovic

      Balotelli - Sturridge

Subs: Ward, Toure, Moreno, Henderson, Lallana, Sterling, Lambert

Absolutely no need to rest any player. We, at most, are going to play 13 games in the next 3 months. I see on no reason why we need to rest our better players for a match that could possibly send us to Wembley after 3 years.

These kick off times are brutal.

Maybe get some players in there who need some game time but by and large stick to the same formula.

      Mignolet

      Can
      Skrtel
      Sakho

      Manquillo
      Henderson (c)
      Allen
      Moreno

      Markovic
      Coutinho

      Sturridge

Subs: Ward; Johnson, Toure; Gerrard; Lallana; Sterling, Balotelli.

Strongest team, give Sterling a breather, Gerrard on for Hendo on 60/65.

3-0 to us - Studge x2 and Gerrard with the goals :)

i would keep the exact same team as V Burnley and try and kill the game off in the first half. if we go in 2 nil up then take off CAN for Sakho (if fit), Coutinho for Gerrard(if fit).

i think we will get the job done early as i feel that will be the instructions from the gaffa so that we dont go into another long tense drawn out situation. and if we win which we will lets hope we get the winner of Villa/West Brom.

No reason to change the team we cruised the game last night so all the players should still be fresh.

keep the team the same but look to make a change at half time then another 10min in saving last change to hopefully see the game out. players have a week after that game till Swansea so should be plenty of time to recover. we should start to get even better after we get this cup game out the way due to more rest and prep time.

Absolute madness to change the team with 8 days between this game and the trip to Swansea.

Same team as last night Brendan!

No changes. Keep the winning momentum going. We under estimate Blackburn at our peril.
As always..... get the game won. Then you can make changes for resting players.  3 - 0 up, the you can afford to make the changes, when the game is safe.

yup no change either for me.  the lads played strong together as a team,  i think BR will send a strong statement to the squad if he puts out the same side.... you play well and team wins... you all keep playing.

that and they have tons of time to rest.

Last & only chance of tin left this campaign so can't afford to F**k it up,
Full strength X1 for me and F**k Blackburn we need to be ruthless,

                  Mignolet
          Can Skrtle Lovren
      Sterling Hendo Allen Moreno
              Lallana Coutinho
                  Sturridge

Bench; Ward, Kolo, Lazar, Williams, Ballotelli Wilson, Sinclair

Sakho in for Dejan if fit, Ste won't feature just started training, rewarded Harry Wilson & Jerome Sinclair but shouldn't need either,

I'd give Mario the last  half hour see if he can bag one or two,

This cup is ours for the taking, I envisage a final with Arse, tbh I fear no one so it wouldn't bother me who we get in the semi, only thing I know is I'll have a semi when we get there.  ;D

      Not a hope.
The pressing game that is played with Sterling leading the line is relentless.
Mario, and Sturridge to some extent, slow that down.
Would rather they came on in the second half.

echo what loads have said, strongest team possible.... and Sturridge plays... he has to!
He is the best forward at the club!

Mario to come on if needed... but not overly arsed if he ever plays ever again if I'm honest!

He doesn't HAVE to play, and yes he is the best forward at the club.
Does he currently have the fitness to perform the task in the manner Sterling does?
      No.
