Dunno what it is but we always put up a poor first half in ties like this and then only get urgent midway through the second.

Bad day. Coutinho was terrible, as was Lazar and Adam.

Better 2nd half. Controlled it well just lacked that bit of quality. Need to stop lobbing in these midfield balls into the box. Shocking % success.

Wasted chances time after time. Wish we'd stop shooting from ridiculous angles too: Balotelli from 40 yards, Coutinho from about a 10 degree angle at the near post etc. Not sure why we crossed the ball so much, we're terrible at crossing and terrible at getting on the end of them.

By the time we meet them again they'll have to come out and play a bit, Sturridge will be up to speed, he has been rusty as an old nail on his come back. We should have a balanced midfield and at the back hopefully we'll have Skrts back.

I'd most certainly play Moreno against these, had Sterling been able to double team their players we'd have had joy.

Lallana and Coutinho were the weak links but Sturridge offered very little too. Thought Balo looked much more lively when he came on and I honestly think he deserves a start but wont get one.

F***ing appalling - Lallana, Coutinho and yet again Sterling - sign the f**king contract, are you seriously taking the piss with performances like that? The defence had no communication with the rest of the team, Can was poor in midfield.

Henderson was alright, Sturridge had nothing to play with, can't blame them.

We now have to play in the run up to the United game no? Nice way to disrupt the schedules lads.

Just a terrible game really. Too many under-performers on the attacking side. Blackburn defended very well and deserve the replay. We simply weren't good enough today.

The god that is Emre can stay put at RCB for now. Really poor short interplay passes from him.

Johnson had a relatively good game to be fair, as in he worked hard and didnt f**k up.

Otherwise all round 6's. Nothing worth talking about, no penetration and couldnt suss out how to beat a team that parked the bus.

Fair play Blackburn, if yas do the same at home you dont deserve to go through anyway.

He has to get starts at some point, other players have been worse than him at other stages of the season yet were played for a majority of games. There's no point playing him for 10 minutes here and there and then wonder why he isn't match fit enough to run around like Mo Farah.

We didn't play great of course, however we created chances that we should have nicked it

I said similar after the Bolton home game, if I were a Blackburn fan I'd be more fu**ed off that they can play and defend like that against us yet only keep one clean sheet in their last 15 league games. I'd be more disappointed they can't get up for standard week to week games

Ah well, we didn't do that much wrong, they did defend well in numbers and made it difficult for us.. Had we found an early goal it would have been a different game.
But still an old fashioned cup game that I won't complain too much about. Could have done without the replay but it is what it is

The Swansea game is on Sky so it'd surprise me if Sky were willing to move the game. I think it'll be Monday then Wednesday which to me would be a joke.

The attack is a unit is still struggling against teams that are organised. Not a surprise that we've been much better away from home this season, especially in the Cup where teams have a go when they are at home. Lot of work to do still in that regard.

Shame about the extra game but if we control Gestede then we'll be fine.
