No offense lads, because I appreciate a good hard tackle as much as the next person, but there is too much emphasis on the physical side of the game in England, and that's going to be a problem for players like Flanagan if it's his main strength because slowly but surely it is being taken out of the game i.e. the tackle that puts ball and man in the stand
Add to that he gets run past far too often, his positioning is very dodgy, he lacks pace and awareness and his technique isn't the best.
I love his commitment, and can't fault his attitude, but I doubt he'll become a top player.
I think we'll see him leave in the next couple of years and go the same way as Kelly.
