It's easy to blame the manager and quite possibly some blame lies with him. However, on occasions that this squad have had to step up to the mark, they have failed to do so by a long way. Too many of them are not worthy of wearing the shirt.

If they gave it their all and lost, fair enough but, imo it appears that they can't be arsed.

Maybe they should only get paid when they win a game. I'd bet that we'd see them performing a damn sight better if this were the case. I know it's not going to happen though.

I wouldn't lose any sleep if we got rid of 80% of the squad tbh.

Pathetic, is the only word that springs to mind.

The players the manager chose to buy you mean? The players the manager chose to play you mean? The players adhering to the shitty tactics the manager chose to adopt once again?

What is our illustrious manager saying?

I think he's gonna start talking about marathon running as well.

Says it all about our season really.

So dissapointing. It just looks like the lads don't even care. Balotelli...are you kidding me!?!?!?  I think the ship has set sail on that one...he was just awful today.

Overall we just look lethargic and not interested. I would think this is a manager's issue of motivating your team...ugh...maybe we just play all the youth and build for next year???

Was busy at work and couldn't watch any of it. Apparently I didn't miss much. Bloody hell. I can only imagine the attitude from the players must have been terrible - Hull are sh*te.

You're the epitome of what's wrong with some of our fans, it's not "some blame lies with him", he takes full responsability, he made the transfers, even with his failed transfers we should outplay Hull, Villa or WBA. He is clueless, end of story.

Anyway despite all the mediocrity and that's being kind I thought Coutinho was head and shoulders above the dross.

Commendable mentions to Migs and Allen

Markovic started in a natural position also looked lively

The rest well I don't want to be disrespectful straight after the match.

      Possibly.

I also think I am kidding myself sometimes when I think I am wrong in thinking the manager should be changed.

I have had a real dilemma recently but tonight may have just been the final nail.

Klopp beats Bayern in the semi final of their domestic Cup showing what a top manager can achieve with a man down also.

I'll be expecting a press release in the morning stating Rafa, or Klopp, will be taking the reins.

This season we have gone ten steps backwards. Brendan's tactics have been woeful for most of the season. It seems he is at a loss as to how to get his players to play effectively and now they have no confidence.

      Understandable.

I'm going to give Brendan the rest of the season, but the arrow is definitely pointing down. A new manager may make some (a lot?) of us feel better in the short term, but I fear that FSG's policies and oversight won't allow there to be any real progress regardless of who is at the helm.

Policy or no policy it's no reason to want a guy to keep his job if you think he isn't up to it.

We really have capitulated since the Utd game, just shameful really from  our manager and players that the great institution that is Liverpool Football Club should be embarrassed by the likes of Sherwood, Pulis, Warnock and Bruce in one season.

Last yr was the statistical outlier. The miracle of Suarez or whatever, assisted by a fully fit onfire Sturridge.

But look at all our league finishes since 2010. We'll finish where we deserve to finish given the quality of the squad, the management team and all the infrastructures. Probably 5th, maybe even 7th.

Check out the wage bill, the net spend and there is no reason to be surprised.

But back on the indiv match, imagine Rafa on the phone to Boston after the match. He'd be going ballistic.
Whereas BR, I doubt he's really bothered. Career manager. Will get another 30 yrs in management because he won't rock the boat with chairmen. Thats his "unique selling point".

Yeah I know. I'm just f**king angry! I wanted Brendan to do well. But he has thrown it away! We gave a managerial "nobody" a massive chance and he's f**king squandered it!
