tbh Lambert is not as big a deal as moving Borini and Balotelli on

Agree. I reckon Lambert might just be the best finisher of the three and works just as hard as Borini (just at a much slower pace).

Depends what you mean by working hard. If you meaning in the sense of movement then I disagree, there were so many times last season when Lambert wouldn't move off a spot.

Have no problem with Lambo staying, but he won't get uch games, so better for himself to leave, unless he wants to give it another season living the dream.

Would not begrudge him at all.

Another thing this shows is that Mario always has been a better player in a two of a three up front where he isn't the main striker.

      LAMBERT BACKED TO LEAVE LIVERPOOL

Sky Bet are reporting a number of large wagers on Aston Villa buying Rickie Lambert this summer, prompting them to slash the odds from 10/1 to 7/4.

The forward remaining at Anfield beyond the current transfer window is 10/1, with Middlesbrough and West Brom both 3/1 sign the ex-Southampton man.

May be we're trying to include him in the Benteke deal. Something like pay 25mil upfront plus lambert plus another 3-4odd million as add-ons that'll trigger the clause.

I think, if they sell Benteke and get Austin, Lambert and another young striker/winger to replace Weimann, that'll be good business for them.

Noticed Rickie has gone on the tour, If he does end up staying Ill be happy for him, but surprised as he is likely to play very few games.

I for one think we should build the team around Lambert. We could get a good four or five years out of him playing in the false 9 with 3 or 4 wing backs running around him.
