Not that I believe this story but if we did lose Skrtel, our only experienced centre half, then we'd be even more bonkers than I thought we were.

I heard this story back in February Si and have accepted we'll lose him this summer since then.  We don't value experience any more as paying for it costs too much.

The problem with Skrtel is, in Brendan's style of play anyway, he's dodgy as f**k unless he's playing with 2 other CBs.

We can't afford to lose him, though. We need some level of consistency in the back.

No.1 defender IMO is big Skirts, would be very surprised is he leaves or even does not sign a new deal.

Simply put, we cannot afford to lose this fella. He is one of our senior players and leaders of the team. He may have his poor moments, but he has been a solid defender for us for many years and we need him to stay put!!

Can be dodgy as we all know, but is also a rock mostly. If we let Skrtel walk away, it shows how far we've fallen in terms of valuing our main players.

How old is he? Around 30 then no doubt we will sell him. We do have Lovren after all...

Means nothing these days. Countless players sign new contracts or say they are staying but end up leaving soon after.

I think even Martin's biggest critics on here would agree it would be madness to lose him this summer.

I love Skrtel. If we let him go after letting Dagger go then i really fear for next Season. He may make the occasional mistake but he has been a mainstay in our defence for a long time. With all the pussies in our Squad we need to keep what hard bas**rds we have left.

I trust Sakho....actually I think they make a decent partnership.

Best defender this season. If he leaves, shudder to think of Lovren filling his shoes next year ... thought Toure was off too, so guess we'd need to sign yet another CB. Not good. Need to keep Martin if at all possible....
