Barring the substitutions which I thought were terrible (granted after admitting I didn't think Gerrard should start), I think the lads can be proud of how they played in that 2nd half, very good display and unlucky not to come away with the win. I'll take some comfort in that at least.

As WAHS said though, it should have been like that before it was over not when it was too late.

Good result in any season, but not enough today. We played ok, we look quite good actually and with Ibe, Sinclair I think we have two decent prospects. Sterling looks excellent until the ball leaves his feet, his crossing and decision making is league 2.

Still at least we didn't have another gutless, spineless defeat. we put a shift in and got a point. F**k the champions league anyway, much better to go out on a Thursday night on the lash.

a draw, isnt that bad imo. we deserved to win from that second half but this is chelsea away.
Away, where none of their players are playing aggressively?

      I second this.

Want to add that Lambert again played decent which also highlights yet again that a target man can fit well with our current players. Thought Sterling showed glimpses of what he's capable of when he drifted in the middle and attacked the space. He is so wasted out wide for me.

Never a striker. Effective for bringing the ball forward and operating in space.

still miffed fibreglass didn't get his marching orders, if he'd done it second half I think he would, just no balls to send him off that early
although he couldn't keep the yellows in his pocket for us just after that

It's not officially over, Utd loose their 2 games and we win our 2 games we each have 68 points
We will need to score 14 goals without conceding, this does not take into account the goals Utd loose by.
      So it's not mathematically impossible.

      Highly unlikely, but not impossible.

Basically Chelsea fans turned up for a few seconds, Liverpool fans have been with me my entire career. Then outlined the problems we've had all season and asked the owners to dig deep and help the team in the summer.

There will be videos of it though mate, it was exceptional.

      Don't you mean outstanding?

Gerrard also said that he would have signed for Mourinho 3 times if he hadn't have been a Liverpool fan or something along those lines.  Still time for all that Stevie.
