I think they are talking about the next signing after Clyne that is supposedly almost there..it would be the 7th.

Clyne close to becoming the latest #SaintsFC played to up sticks & move to #LFC, but not expecting confirmation today. Could be a few days.

As long as he's going to sign then I don't think it matters when it's announced anyway does it. I've been really pleased with how the club have operated in the window so far. There's one or two transfers (at most) that I'm not exactly excited about but I'm definitely happy with the likes of Milner, Firmino and Clyne coming in and how early/quick business is being done.

      Interesting.
Well to me anyway, but admittedly I'm a bit of a sad f**ker when it comes to details

Let me see if I have this straight: Gordon is the FSG shareholder who was put on the board, and is behind only Henry as regards size of stake in FSG. He owns 12% of FSG and was named President of the group. He sits on their board and also on ours and is technically Ayres direct boss. Fallows is head of scouting and recruitment, so presumably he gives the nod as to a players worth and (assuming the twitter thing is true) advises Gordon when negotiating, which is me reading between the lines a bit.

To me, this says 1 of 2 things: either we are doing so much business that there are 2 teams of negotiators or FSG have lost patience with Ayre and Gordon has stepped forwards to make sure we get who we want to bring in, which makes sense, because as a senior shareholder he has much more leeway than Ayre.
Ayre is then brought in because he is CEO, to sign off on the deal, which means he is now a glorified rubber stamp.

OK, there's a lot of assumptions and supposition in there, with nothing really confirmed, but that's how it looks to me.

It makes sense to me Swab.

Saw Nathaniel Clyne at St Mary's last season after a game & told him to sign for Lfc, he took the advice! I'm on the transfer committee now.

Good for this to get wrapped up. Still need another RB in though, Clyne on his own isn't enough.

Now, push on and get some quality in up front.

We've got Wisdom as back up + Flanno coming back later in the season.
3 players for 1 position is enough.
We need a LB ( unless Enrique is definitely over his injuries) and a goal scorer.

Flano could play again as a LB.

      CLYNE MEDICAL NEXT WEEK

Nathaniel Clyne is set to have a medical at Liverpool next week, with the club expected to complete a structured £15m deal for the Southampton full-back.

The clubs are currently negotiating an agreement which will include a £12.5m fee followed by additional payments based on conditions met by the player.

His signing is also not expected to have an impact on recent acquisition Joe Gomez, with the youngster joining from Charlton, although Sky sources understand a loan back out of Anfield is a possibility.

      Can't argue with that Swab.

My only issue is integration of so many players.

I pray to God that Rodgers isn't going to throw Can in there. We need to see him in the centre of midfield this year.

Clyne's my type of player. Looks like a hard working lad who's sensible, has come through the ranks at less fashionable clubs and actually wants to play for us. At the money I don't think we'll go far wrong here, and in the ever on going "Premiership based players are overpriced and rubbish compared to foreign players" debate, I think that when we compare Clyne to Moreno this'll be firmly one to chalk up for the "look close to home first" brigade.

That's my only fear as well.

Brendan doesn't have a great track record when he has lots of players to work with and less time on tbr training ground.
