Funny how it's went from Danny 'brings nothing to the team' Ings to Danny 'The Great Hope' Ings.

Looks like Benteke will be out for a few weeks so we might start to see some football with Ings and Sturridge up top.

Not got a great conversion rate but two goals in two games means he deserves a shot at the weekend alongside Sturridge.

I was thinking more Dirk Kuyt, but yes, Bellamy is probably the most accurate description.

Benteke´s injury will be,I hope,a blessing in disguise.Ings is naturally more suited to our better,faster version of playing,but having come here free while Benteke has a 32.5M weight on him has made things a bit trickier for him.Has already made his mark and shows more promise than the foreseeably isolated 9.I know he will start up front with Danny (and if he doesn´t it better be because he´s inj -don´t say it! - was abducted by aliens) and this is the closest thing we have to a fast striker partnership.May he grab this opportunity with both legs.

P.D.: Craig Bellamy being my favourite footballer,it is very interesting to see the 2 likened in their characteristics.He certainly has hunger,passion,drive,and leaves nothing behind on the pitch.Now he just needs to show that every single minute of every single game he has and he will inevitably end in the Red Pantheon alongside The Old Welsh Fox.Shouldn´t be a long shot considering we´re asking a 23 year-old to perform like a 32 year-old Bellamy did 4 years ago.C´mon Danny!

Hope Ings grabs his chance with both hands while Big Ben's out. Would be fantastic if we had 3 good strikers at the club. Not that I'm discounting Origi just yet, but it's hard to see where he will get his chance to impress.

Really puts in a effort and never stops running but does it make up for his his lack ability to be a top class forward? He is a good foil for the quality of Sturridge to drag defenders away so maybe.
