Good teams start at the back. Utd would never be were they are without their keeper.
True enough but can anybody remember Schmichael's back up keeper? Or who played second fiddle to the greats like Jennings at Arsenal, Banks at Stoke, Shilton at Southampton? The only time I remember two truly quality keepers at one club was Chelsea when they had Cech and Cudicini. Once the Italian went to Spurs and they ended up with that 50 year old Portuguese fella, it was back to normal. City with all the money in the world, don't have a great back up keeper. Chelsea won't have once Cech leaves in the summer.
Do the names Frank Lane, Peter McDonnell, Bob Boulder mean anything to anybody? Even Steve Ogrizovic, he was a nobody as our back-up keeper, it's only when he went to Coventry that he became a very good goalie.
Too much is being made of Bogdan not being a top name. (not in your post by the way mate)
