Probably the same this year + sales, though I do wonder why we are not seeing an increase year over year with all these new deals and TV money.

Probably paying some of the loan off for stadium build.
I can't remember if all the 50m loan has been paid off either, but I'd reckon that's what it is.

I'm not particularly happy about that, but it could be a lot worse.

      Does it matter?

Not like we short-changed on positions we needed filling last season.

I would say the quality was a bit lacking on some of them Crouch.

Some suffered from first season syndrome and will get better.
A lot better if I've judged them right.

Can't blame the money men for that. They didn't buy them.

Well Crouch I would think with 15-20 million more we could of gotten better than Balotelli....the "Money Men"  (Gordon & Werner) both sit on the transfer committee with Ayre so I can blame them to some extent.

If you think Werner and Gordon scouted Markovic, Moreno and Balotelli, you're out of your mind.

I don't think that at all Crouch...but I bet they damn well had a say on how much could be spent on any one player.

      Manager..I want to get Reus...
      Gordon...Way too much
      Werner...Markovic looks good.
Manager...But I need goals from somewhere.
Gordon...We are not getting Cavani, Reus or any of those kind of guys if that is what you are thinking; we got burned once before, not going to happen again
Werner....Hey that Balotelli fella looked decent when we saw him in Baltimore; they're owner told me we could get him cheap.

You can disagree all you want with me Crouch...I have little doubt that in one form or another this is how it all goes down.

15 years running now my experience of JWH & Co and how they do things tells me this.

I think it's safe to say that nobody knows anything about him truthfully. Only thing I've seen of him was on SSN earlier and it showed him at right back dribbling up the wing; his touch was heavy and his dribbling was a bit rusty. He screamed centre back off those couple of clips.

Bet they had F**k all to do with signings, that's what the TC is for!!

Gordon is the only one with any real involvement, in signing the cheques or at least giving Ayre the go-ahead to get those deals done.

      ???

Gordon and Werner are part of the TC; So much so that TW was very very proud of the work he did last Summer.

Rodgers, Gordon, Werner, Ayre, Fallows, Edwards there is your transfer committee.

Aye youtubed him earlier all I got was v Fulham right back I panicked then thought hang on he's a centre half so went back to page 1 of this thread which says midfielder!! Doesn't look like a near 9 million pound player but looks well progressed physically so might have, wait for it, " potential "

Never heard of the kid before Brian. As you say though, he has 'potential'.

As said before, I was at the Charlton Fulham match a couple of months ago, he played right back and looked impressive to me. I was chatting to a Charlton fan in the next door seat and he said they all thought he was something special. He wasn't unbelievable mind, just obviously a kid with huge physicality who had something about him. As I also said before too, I liked the black kid in midfield as well with a funny haircut, elegant on the ball and got his foot in.

People posting "I've never seen him play nor heard of him but he's a waste of money/not what we need" though must surely be joking?

Good video, that was the game I was at. Cousins is the other lad I was on about, and from a quick Wikipedia search I see that his full name is Jordan Cousins and he's 21 years old. He was a good player too, very impressive (more so than Gomez to be honest but that bit older). Had a touch of the David Rocastle's about him (RIP).

looks a beast i hope if we loan him out that its to a prem club maybe one of the newly premoted teams so he can get a full season in the prem and some much needed experiance at the top level.

im sure he's one for the future but you never know BR has form, he's used Flanno,Wisdom,Manquello who are all young lads and look at Ibe,Sterling so age is not a factor.
