Wasn't a convincing performance but at this stage of the competition, all I really care about is winning.

Coutinho, Benteke and Clyne were our most impressive performers IMO.

Ibe was disappointing, Gomez is a promising young player but who's clearly out of position and is often exposed, Lallana was poor in the 1st half but did better in the 2nd playing as a left sided CM ahead of Can.

At the end of the day, Benteke and Clyne are the main positives for me, being new players at the club but already making an impact.

I'd take another 36 of them if offered.

Thought we played alright for the most part. Coutinho played very well, thought Milner put a good shift in also. The big man up front was unlucky not to have a second.

      Clyne MOTM for me. Solid.

If we want something from the Emirates, in no way we should start Lallana again, offers absolutely nothing, a taller Allen he is.

      Ibe is still raw.

Emre Can and Firmino need to be in the first team.

Was expecting so see some of Ings or Origi tonight.

Tired and doesn't offer much defensively?

Maybe but who else looks like scoring every minute they are on the pitch!

Think we were lucky to get away with that. 3 very embarrassing points to be fair. Not sure we deserved them, but hey ho, up to 3rd, but gotta huge amount of tactical changes and strategy to make before the arse game, or we really will be embarrassed.

That was a piss poor performance. Away to Arsenal could be a hard watch.
Still no improvement in our style or play.
Another lucky 3pts. This luck will not last.

The first two matches this season have reminded me of those three 1-0 wins we had to start the season in 2013-14. Not the most convincing, but wins with clean sheets which provide a good base for us to build the rest of the season off of.

Many will complain about the performance, but at this stage of the season -- there are still 36 more fixtures to play! -- I'll gladly take 6 points from 6 points.

Only real concerns for me are Lovren at LCB, and how weak midfield looked once Henderson came off in the second. We definitely need to play with three in the middle.

Good 3 points, but far from convincing performance.
Thought after Hendo went off we lost our way a bit. Hope injury not serious.
When Cou went off, thought we looked very very ordinary,
Of the subs, Can did OK though looks a bit rusty still, Moreno did well, and Firmino did absolutely nothing.

One big positive - another clean sheet. Thought Clyne, Gomez and Lovren were really solid, Skyrtel OK.
Migs didn't have a lot to do, but still not as dominant as you'd like on crosses.

Delighted with the 3 points, not so much with the performance. Next game will be a lot tougher...

Finally, the only thing positive is the 3 points, everything else was shocking.

I didn't want Benteke here, shows what I know though because he was very bright tonight - I think everyone can applaud his effort, his flick ons and his attacking threat, and ultimately the winning goal.

Coutinho is reliable as ever, but the rest? No creativity - Ibe and Lallana really need to buck up their ideas seriously offering f**k all creativity when that is their prime goal, and how Milner and Henderson work as a partnership is yet to convince (god I hope this doesn't become our very own 'Lampard/Gerrard' debate).

There's not one player running in behind the defence - how the F**k do we expect goals if we have the inability to do that.

To attack the game, perhaps two strikers up front - would like to see Origi introduced, see what he can do what with his great pace. Ings also is yet to get a shout.

But perhaps Brendan's aim is to keep things tight in these first games - I think the clusterfuck of the end of last season is still playing on his mind.

Moreno ahead of Ibe and Lallana any day for me, I think we should try him as LM reminds of Riise days
