No they played 4-4-2, or 4-4-1-1

The lad is good enough to play anywhere tbf. and he needs to be starting more games, so long as not in defence again. ;D

Can played Right mid for the world champions the other night. Was very good.

He played right back not right mid. He doesn't have the ability to play on the wings.

Like I said in the post where I had my line up.

If he is seen as the future of our midfield as the deepest player he should be playing there from Saturday.

Or are we going to piss about and move him around and then either lose him or stunt his development.

I don't actually see him in that position man. No doubt he can play there, but will BR do it tmrw Im not sure.

Think he will go with the expereinced guys sitting, lucas will defo start. Just my opinion, U never know BR might do something totally different.

From where I was sitting the stand he was RM, maybe he was just getting forward so much it felt like RM.

Take it all back lads, Ca was RB for germany v scotland. do apologize. In my defence he was wide on our 18 yard box constantly. So I thought he was RM.

I did not even look up the formation, my bad. just going on what I seen at the match. That makes it even worse from a scotland point of view, Im even more annoyed at mulgrew now. and whoever was LW for us. ffs.

Can was in acres of space loads of times.

Yeah I hope you're right and he does try changing things up a touch mate, we need some inspiration from somewhere and the manager is the place it's meant to come from.

If it were me I'd be playing:

                     Migs
      Clyne   Skrtel Sakho Enrique
                     Lucas
               Can         Milner
                   Teixiera
                Ings    Benteke

But the chances of something like that are the same as you winning the lottery and while I wish you look mate I don't think you have a hope in hell :D

Good X1 mate but I'd swop Enrique with Moreno and Skrtel for Gomez,  put player's in their best positions and let them shine,  take the game to them and let them worry about us,
But Brendan ain't got the nads to do it so he'll probably keep the same back 4, the same weak midfield,  the same one up top ,  and the same disappointing result,

C'mon Brendan where's your Irish fight your negativity is reflecting on the players,  f***in sort it out man!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wouldnt say perfect to throw Enrique in at old trafford when he hasnt had a minutes football since God knows when.

As much as Id like to see it I cant see him throwing Texin either. Id like to see Ings in there playing off Benteke maybe something like

      Mignolet

      Clyne Skrtel Sakho Gomez

      Can     Milner    Lucas     Moreno

                        Ings

                        Benteke

Can and Moreno in to protect the full backs if they see the 2 boys attacking they cover while attacking when our fullbacks arent overlapping. Milner and Can interchangeable. Leaves potential impact players in Sturridge Origi Teixera and Firmino when the game opens out

It's an absolute nap De Gea will start for them wankers tomorrow.

I just hope we can get enough service to Benteke, who has scored in his last two appearances against the mancs.

Think Moreno defo has a chance of starting, but I also think Firmino is cert to start unless he is a bit jet lagged or something.

Fitness of the international lads who have been away and only just back might play a part in team selection.

Those vile Mancs might be in a level of disarray relatively speaking. Thats because of their record since the early 90s.
But they have a very strong squad and a very experienced manager. We don't really have either.

As for the balance of both squads, we'll find out more over the course of the season.

Getting pumped for this now, I f***in hate these fuckers, I cringe every time they are mentioned or seen,

I would love our players to have the same feeling I have and make it their mission to f***in batter them, humilate them and take the f***in piss on their own turf,

Nothing else would make my week than for this to happen,

                Migs
      Clyne  Skrtel Lovren Gomez
            Can Lucas Milner
          Ings Benteke Firmino

Too big a game to change the back 4 imo.
Should be good battles with the fullbacks, both sets of FBs are good players who like to get forward.
Will need Clyne and Gomez pressing on to move possession up the field, and swing some (good) balls in for Christian.
Can/LUcas/Milner picks itself with injuries. Keep it tight in the middle, FBs getting forward.
Ings and Firmino - probably not much expected, so maybe they can surprise us. Now is the time. Would expect Benteke to veer toward Daley Blind, so should win most ariel balls, and these boys will need to be on their toes in and around him moping up.
Not expecting anything fancy - similar approach to the Arse game though will miss Cou who makes a lot happen.
Not expectant, record there ain't great - but win, loose or draw we need a much better performance than last time out.
