Could be argued he is managing the squad Crouchie.

It could also be argued that you could manage a player without dropping him from a game completely.
2 x 60 mins vs dropped from a potential run at the Europa League when under pressure.

After Brendan was shown to have just raised the white flag in the Champions League it
wouldn't be far fetched to say he's doing the latter, again.

I don't know who is travelling  to france
but  reading some posts and reports ,  a few key- fit players are not travelling
But for a difficult away game ,personally I would take ALL fit first teamers, and play the strongest I can,( if we really want to make progress in this cup-- or do we??)

But he's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't mate.

If he played Benteke for 60 and we still lose then plays him at Norwich and we don't get a result people will ask what was the point bringing him to France.

I'm  probably as big a fan if the EL as there is km here but Brendan has shown he can't juggle a squad with two games a wee so this season I'd much rather he focused on one more than the other if it will get results.

My problem is that I don't even think that will be enough for him.

It's no more than two months in to the season.

God help him if he needs to manage the squad after Christmas.

No Lucas, Milner or Hendorson (Injury)
No Clyne, Skrtel or Lovren (Yes I know...)

      Toure and Sakho pairing?
      Can and Rossiter mid?
      Origi, Ibe, Coutinho up front?

      Good.

Then James can practise hitting long balls up to Benteke on his own so we perfect it for Norwich.

Hey! Don't diss it. It might work! 😉

Did Tex piss in his cornflakes?

So this could well be the line up then..

      Mignolet
      Clyne-Toure-Sakho-Moreno
      Milner-Can-Rossiter
      Ibe-Ings-Origi

Damn, that front line! not like the rest are inspiring though..

That front line is average in all honesty.

Good lord that poll is dismal.

Anyways, not sure who's in or out for this one, too many conflicting posts and reports out there. Looks like the thought is that we'll be playing a second string lineup anyway.

Hoping to at least see Bogdan, Sakho (laughable that he's considered "second string" in our setup), Moreno, Rossiter, Tex, Ings, and Origi get some time then.

Squad looked like they were going to a funeral in the social media clip I saw of them getting on the plane to head over. Fan base and management all seem to be echoing that sentiment.

Well, at least I'm semi excited for it.

Brendan needs a win and a performance. We know it wont be against Norwich or Villa, so it has to be against this lot.

Liverpool won only two of eight European fixtures last term – at home to Ludogorets in the Champions League and Besiktas in the Europa League – as they exited both tournaments at the first hurdle

I think this answers your question.

Get real Rodgers. You've not exactly covered yourself in glory of late so what about focusing on the competitions you can actually win? The UEL would be a start. Ridiculous decision.
