Didn't TAA play mainly as a No. 6 in the u16 and u18 team? Lijnders said in one of his interviews that TAA is a very versatile player who can play in all positions. Isn't it because of his versatility that he has been able to break into the first team? Long term, TAA would prefer the No. 6 role, wouldn't he? Also, Moreno was in the shop window this summer and only a 11mn bid and a sudden improved performance against Bayern in the pre season prevented the sale of Moreno, didn't it? Also, during the summer Klopp kept saying that we might go with Milner at LB if we don't land any LB.
Lots and ifs and buts there mate.
TAA's youth career I couldn't tell you.
TAA's versatility, well from my perspective he looks like he could play anywhere but it's his defensive side that needs progressing the most, so RB is usually a good place to acquire those skills while still being able to 'hide' a little if you get my meaning. Is his future as a 6, I honestly couldn't say, but I would not be surprised at all if it's in midfield.
On Moreno, I thought he was for sale and thought £11m was a good price until the market went absolutely bat sh*t crazy, even still I wouldn't have been overly worried had we sold him but the Moreno I watch now is improving fast. Jürgen may have given up on him and just said "hold on, he needs a second chance", I really don't know but he's bought in Robertson and Alby is even keeping him out of the team after a MotM display so there's plenty to believe that he's winning Jürgen's faith. A few times last year Jürgen made a point of saying that Alby had been the main man in training, so it's not as if this is an overnight transition, it is clear to me it's more about consistency now for him.
