My ratings:
Mignolet: Shot to pieces again confidence wise I'm afraid. Had nothing to do and it's just as well. 5/10
Moreno: Pretty good all game with one excellent recovery tackle. I still don't think we use his pace enough going forward, but did well. Free kick was awful though, hit with no conviction or power and still a mile too high, he basically chipped it over the bar. 7/10.
The FC (couldn't resist, sorry): Pretty good, save for one piece of hesitation in the second half. Still looks to me like he's terrified of making a mistake, but didn't really make any today. Some good diagonal passing mixed in with some hot potato offloads, but all in all a better game again and he continues to improve. We won't know if it's permanent until he makes a monumental f*ck up and we gauge his reaction. On previous form it's already long overdue, it'll be interesting when it happens. 7/10.
Skrtel: Solid and unspectacular, did little wrong except a poor header when thrown under a bus by Mignolets indecision behind him. Given he once again has an extremely jittery goalkeeper behind him and Lovren to his left who is till some way from confidence inspiring, he's doing alright. 7/10.
Clyne: His usual, some really good stuff, mostly just plain good stuff and the occasional "could have done better there" stuff. An absolutely typical performance from Mr dependable. 7/10.
Can: Still feeling his way into the central midfielders role and felt the absence of his regular partner. Some perceptive passing but wasteful at times too. 6/10.
Milner: Excellent penalty and was everywhere, also one of the few players who was able to keep his cool in the last quarter of an hour. My MOM 8/10.
Ibe: Flittered in and out of it like young players do. He's going to be a player is this lad, but we're going to have to wait. 6/10.
Lallana: I thought he was a bit disappointing TBH after a bright start. Someone needs to have a word with him and tell him that he either needs to score goals or cause goals to be scored, AS WELL AS pressing. Sometimes he falls into that trap whereby he seems to assume that running around like a lunatic and doing a few step-overs on the half way line means he's had a good game, it doesn't. 5/10.
Firmino: Not by any means his best performance, but in the first 25 minutes shone brightly. Even when he's off though he does still glitter with his perceptive movement and passing, we can excuse him an ordinary game after a string of very good ones. 5/10.
Benteke: Not easy to play up top on your own in a team which isn't playing very fluently, but by and large he didn't make too bad a job of it. One very disappointing moment when he laid it off rather than shooting himself, and I've no time at all for big scary strikers who spend half their time sitting on their @rse asking for free kicks, but this was hardly David N'Gog. He was OK, but no better. 5/10.
Subs:
Henderson: Looked like what he is, namely one of our best two central midfielders. I'm not sure who's role he will take up (my personal preference is for him to play box to box where he can use his engine), but either Can or Lucas are going to have to spend a bit of time on the bench soon. 6/10.
Sturridge: Looks like what he is too. namely a classy, top quality front player. If he stays fit for a while (yes I know) then Benteke had better get himself ready for a bit of time on the bench too. 6/10
Toure: Headed it once and almost lost it in possession once in his 90 seconds on the pitch. inconclusive. 5/10.
