Pre Match: Liverpool v Sunderland Sat 6th Feb 15:00KO
      Feb 05, 2016 11:02:05 am
Expecting a near full strength side here, our next game after this is away to West Ham just 3 days later.

I think Moreno should sit this one out, apart from that I would go with this side:

      Mignolet

      Clyne
      Lovren
      Sakho
      Smith

      Henderson (c)
      Allen
      Emre Can

      Ibe
      Firmino
      Lallana

Subs: Ward; Flanagan, Caulker; Milner, Lucas; Teixeira; Benteke.

We SHOULD have enough quality to win this one and I'm confident of a 3-1 win.

      Firmino x2 and Lallana.

I would rest players for the Tuesday, shoot Moreno and see what Ojo and the likes could come up with against this dross Sunderland side. The first 11 would probably make hard work of it anyway.

None of us have a clue on what that is yet! Its not like we are marching steady in the league. Would start the likes of Cameron, Ojo, Smith, Benteke start this.

Agree 100%. Would rather play the 'Cup team' tomorrow and the main team (why am I even calling that) on Saturday!

             Mignolet
      Clyne Toure Sakho Smith
               Allen Can
      Lallana Firmino Teixeira
                  Ojo

Smith in for Moreno, Toure in for Lovren (or is Toure injured?)
Pirlo surely deserves a start, and would rest Hendo for this one.
And would give Tex a try, feckit, why not. Ojo too.
We've really struggled to create clear chances/score, so think we need to freshen things up, but not 'throwing the baby out with the bathwater' level of changes.

Wow, only 5 posts for a match tomorrow. Are we all that depressed and apathetic because of this side?

Really no excuse to not get 3 points here. Sunderland are a mess and we're at Anfield.

Ah yes Brodge's old 5-3-2 formation.

      Tactical genius.

haha. So any manager now who uses 3-5-2 is an idiot ´cause Rodgers apparently was? Tell that to that Juventus fella..

Make up of this squad put together by "Brodge" is much more suited to this, and I dont mean just the starting 11 but whole squad. More squad players would adjust their skill-set better to this formation in my opinion.

If anything, Liverpool badly lack wingers. This formation greatly negates the need of any. We have a good few centre-backs (or versatile players able to play there). And we also have a good amount of central midfield players so its only natural to use 3+3 (defs and mids) in the middle, and a couple wingbacks (all of our fullbacks are more of wingback to be honest).

Two up top - neither Firmino nor Benteke relish playing on their own. Put them together, or use Ibe or Lallana to rotate and we would be much better of against any type of defense, not just that "Firmino on his own is great against strong teams" bollix. Like we saw vs Lester etc etc.

Klopp prefers 4-2-3-1 (or 4-3-3) but he just needs to adopt my thinking sooner rather than later, and use his squad to its best potential until he gets his hands on summer window.

was tonque in cheek remark Vicks. If you dont want to discuss pros and cons of the 3-man defence in relation to make up of our squad dont do, better dismiss it out of hand like the previous poster did.

Anyway, my question is: the time of Benteke - Sturidge forward line is near. In that possibility, would you prefer rather two-man midfield and a two wingers (we dont have maybe bar Ibe) in a shape of 4-4-2, or would you rather opt for a triangle midfield and a 3 centre backs with wingbacks? I assume Flano, Smith, Clyne, even Moreno are more suited to wing-back role with a CB behind to cover their f**k-ups. AND two up front I suggest, as we look toothless and f**king predictable with one striker uptop (sorry ZERO in Firminho´s case) more often than not.

Gone for a 2  0 win for the Reds, time to start scoring again, especially at home with Big Sam's men in the firing line. It is high time the fans had something to cheer about, especially at Anfield.

I'd go with Mignolet, Flanagan, Caulker, Lovren, Smith, Allen, Milner, Brannagan, Ibe, Ojo, Benteke against Sunderland.
Against West Ham I would go with Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno, Henderson, Can, Lallana, Firmino, Coutinho/Ibe/Ojo, Sturridge/Origi.

Well the only thing that seems consistent, is our inconsistency ! Fat Sam is always gonna acclaim his magnificent tactical knowledge of the game, if he bombs us with hoof ball and get anything from it.

I live in fear of this cretic getting points off us, I hate the b***ard with a passion.
I pray to God we turn up tomorrow, and put in a performance worthy of the shirt.
Not just the possession, a few moments of forward thinking and decent passes, but a continuous onslaught of devastating football which tears these relegation bound nobs to pieces.
We are gonna give someone aa awesome hiding one of these days, when it all falls right for us, please let it be against Fat Sam.
Wouldn't start Ben though. His presence seems to slow the game down immediately. Thats ok ten minutes from the end when you're 4 goals up.
Cant remember what I put in the prediction league, but I'm pissed off as I have to work tomorrow, so I'm going for a 6 - 0 beasting inflicted by the RED MEN.

Well my predictions of late have been rubbish, so I'm going for a 1-0 scrappy boring win, where we are completely dire and lucky to win, in the hope that we go beserk and send fat Sam home thinking how did we lose that 5-0.   ;D

I think we will see a few changes from our last game, with one eye on the cup.

                                Mignolet

      Clyne          Toure      Caulker      Smith

                      Allen       Can

                           Texiera

      Ibe                Benteke          Milner

As you can see I have basically given up on the league :(

      I think it'll be:

      Mignolet

      Clyne Lovren Caulker Moreno

      Can   Allen

      Ibe    Lallana   Milner

      Firmino

If we score first, I think we'll win. If they score first, I just don't know were the goal is going to come from. Score really depends on which Liverpool team bothers to turn up so I'll go with a conservative 1-0.

Nervous for this one, don't Sunderland suddenly turn up this time of year and escape relegation, plus that utter tool Allardyce.
