They really aren't that good; we should (and will) tank the like of these with ease and I'll be disappointed if we don't.

I wouldn't gift aid Mark Hughes or Stoke a steaming turd, never mind 3 points and finishing above us.

Been patchy form wise, but Stoke have played some good football this season and they have every chance of improving their season end points total, for the third year on the trot. No Butland and Shawcross a doubt, we should be looking to carry on our league streak against them, they haven't score in a league game at Anfield since 1983.

One player I really want to see in this game is Ojo. I think he deserves a few league appearances between now and the end of the season based on his dominating under-21 performances.

                         Mignolet
      Flanno  Sakho  Lovren  Smith
                   Brannagan  Allen
             Ojo    Firmino  Lallana
                         Sturridge

      I like this line up.

Lately I am not able to watch the games and not creating Live thread due to different circumstance.

We need to show good performance to go into Dortmund's game with high confidence. European nights are different for sure but form is also vital.

I think if we're going to see any youngsters play in this it'll be Stewart rather than Branners.  He's older, bigger and stronger and has more experience at senior level too.

Ojo might be on the bench as he's not involved in today u18's game against Everton and the u21s don't play till Thursday.  Not sure about Tex as he didn't play in last weeks u21s and hasn't been involved in any senior matchday squads since Jan/Feb.  Young Pedro may also feature.

      Agree on Stewart Debs.

Don't think Ojo will start but maybe a spot on the bench.

Branners had a superb game for the 21s last week Si, alongside Stewart and Pedro but it was those two who pulled off early as they were both down to travel to Dortmund for Thursdays game, so that would suggest they're more in Jurgens plans than Cam is.

Protect Clyne, Lovren, Cou. Firmino and Sturridge need game time. Milner and Lallana can hack it.

                                 Migs
      Flannagan     Skrtel      Sakho          Moreno

Lucas and Stewart came through 45 minutes in a behind closed doors game against Burnley yesterday and with Allen also available we should be fine in midfield.

Off to Anfield again tomorrow for this match....expecting everyone to still be on a high after Thursday's brilliant game in Dortmund, won't be easy as we all know how tough Stoke can be, but I'd like to think we can get a much needed 3 points, getting to the business end of the season now and we need to finish as strong as possible.

Top 4 is gone so this game is really only a chance for players to impress Jürgen enough to warrant consideration for the match day squad on Thursday.

I'd sack off all intense training during the week and play most of the team that'll be playing the return leg if that's what it takes. Can't stand Mark Hughes for one and it's better than a pretend match in a training session to keep these guys hungry and sharp. Need to get in the habit of winning.

It's a no-brainer to rest guys for this, we can't be taking any injuries at all, we on the bare bones as we have been for most of the season in one department or the other.

It's just a question of how far does Jürgen go in terms of resting, I suspect as far as he can to be honest:

                               Mig

          Flanno    Toure   Lucas  Smith

         Brannagan   Stewart    Milner

                 Ojo   Sturridge   Firmino

Striker will be the key choice, the one that plays obviously being the one that wont start against Dortmund in the 2nd leg. It's by no means a surrender as quite honestly I think this team would give Stoke a proper game.

Should be extremely informative, looking forward to it.

Hope to F**k Firmino doesn't play. Coming back from a hamstring injury, we should wrap him up for the Dortmund game because he'll start 100% if fit.

If he aggravates the injury again he could be out for the next month or two.

Appreciate your point mate, but I thought Firmino looked well off the pace against Dortmund (coming on as sub probably didn't help either) so may need to get a game in to improve his match sharpness?
