England's issue is that for the most part, the squads are almost always composed with flavor of the month (or year) guys from the league. They practically do a squad overhaul for every major tournament and then a starting XI overhaul every match - and they've been doing that for years, none of these guys are experienced internationally and none of them are able to develop consistency with each other. Definitely not relative to what you see with Germany, Italy, Spain, France, etc.
Seven players in this starting XI with 25 or less caps. Only three players in the entire squad with 50+ caps. They've not got enough of a decent core group of players if you ask me.
