I went to all of this working night shifts (from 10pm to 7am) in the Main Operations Centre (MOC) of the Rio 2016 Organising Committee.
I can't put into words just how tired I am. But pleased with the work we've done and proud of the Olympics.
Now looking forward to the Paralympic Games... and a few days later, I'll be in Liverpool! Not a bad year this...
Didn't get to see much then huh?
Happy for you and your country to host such an amazing event. There's nothing more unifying for a country than the Olympics IMO.
I'm going through withdrawal already
.
Following on from what HTH said, I've got to give props to the BBC for their coverage. If you missed the early hours coverage then it was replayed minute for minute the next morning on TV. The wide range of sports that they covered was ridiculous and the commentators that they had involved were top notch. More countries won medals than ever before, so many countries won their first ever medals (Fiji & Kosovo just two of them).
Events for GB that impressed me the most: cycling, rowing, swimming, hockey & gymnastics.
Individuals that impressed me the most: Mo Farah becoming the most successful GB athlete in track and field, Nick Skelton showing that you should never give up on your dreams regardless of your age & Max Whitlock not only being the first GB gymnast to win gold but also the first GB gymnast to become double Olympic champion and also becoming the most decorated GB gymnast in Olympic history.
I also LOVED the women's hockey team in Rio. What performances!
