Disappointing result and performance, but no need to press the panic button just yet... we will have Mignolet back for the Arsenal game.

Piss poor performance imo, hopefully it will encourage Jürgen to bring in the couple of quality players we still need for a balanced squad.

Certainly think a LB is a strong possibility but I'm still most worried about our CM. I like Grujic and I think Can will be superb but right now I'm not at all convinced we have the right blend in there.

This tops the stoke defeat as our most embarrassing ever performance.

      No it doesn't .

Stoke was the record breaking lowest point for over 50 years ..... embarrassing and shameful... the beginning of the end for someone.

Stevie's last game ...... what a bad joke it was for him after a glittering club career.

When crunch time comes, Fenway Sports Group will only need the answer to one question: can they trust him?

As this abomination of a season came to a spectacularly dreadful end in The Potteries, with invective and fury raining down from enraged supporters, Brendan Rodgers wore the look of a man who knew his future employment prospects were dangling by a thread.

Rodgers will hold a summit with Mike Gordon, FSG’s second largest investor, soon but the ground he now walks on is anything but safe. Liverpool were not just beaten by Stoke City, they were utterly humiliated and the buck stops with the man who stood passively, helplessly in the technical area.

I am in my early, very early, sixties. I grew up with Shanks, met and talked to him many times, when as a school girl we would go to Melwood, then bus it back to Anfield to wait for them coming out after their lunch.
Did this every holiday. Shanks would not condone any player, pulling on the shirt, not giving his all. Any defeat hurt, friendly, kick about, tiddlywinks, that is what I grew up with. Any defeat hurts, I want my team to win every match we play.
So, things have changed, we can now be fine with a defeat, 'cos it's only a friendly. Shanks would not be happy with that.

I didnt give a F**k we beat Barca and i dont give a F**k we lost to Mainz.

Shouldn't be playing 2 in 2 theres no need or advantage in it. Not sure what was going on or what we achieved. Maybe a Klopp favour to his old club?

Didn't do us any good, just hope nobody was injured.

Enough of the nonsense now, next weekend football is back.

the only question I have about today is why?. not bothered about the result and after yesterday's performance it makes the question all the more important could it not be played tomorrow or Tuesday?.
We are were we are so lets look forward to Arsenal.

Get a grip and stop being so pathetic. Look at the line up for crying out loud, look at how long we had to prepare for this game, look at the competition this game was in. If you think this is embarrassing and tops the Stoke hammering in the Premier League then just sod off now to be honest lad.

Not really mate I didnt watch either match, I watched the cricket. Not watched a single pre season game. So while you've been slashing your wrists at this Mainz money spinner, i've been celebrating Englands win over Pakistan.

It's not time for football yet, but it's all good money for someone i'm sure.

We'd have been better off staying at Melwood and practicing defending corners for 6 weeks I think but there we go.

No, you don't forget a 6-1 loss and remind everyone about the event, in spite of the fact the root cause of that defeat has been fu**ed off and we contemplate a new beginning under Jürgen Klopp.
To compare a friendly reserve team result to any Premiership game is ludicrous.

I would say 1 million %. Mate has read Fat Sams book this summer and he was telling me he said these deals are made a lot of the time.

Makes me sound guilty of reading it myself but I assure everyone I didnt know he had one out. Honest
