Oh come on - I doubt this Real Madrid side will go down in the annals of history as superb. As I said - they lack intrigue or the credibility needed to be 'great'. A side that has won two in three champions Leagues should be great but they aren't. Sh*t team to watch, sh*t supporters, corporate sh*t. CL has become almost a three team competition in recent years that has rewarded big money spinners more and more. In the last 7 years alone two of Barca, Bayern and Real have reached the last 4 - not the competition that it once was at the turn of the century.

Those are the elites teams we should aspire to compete against, and I really Klopp can take us back to the champions league.

Real Madrid are a pantomine club, but at least Bayern are a very well run club, and so is Barcelona to some extent.

Not too sure what it is they try and achieve. They may get top 4 every season but they are no better off for it; they consistently get booted out soon after the group stage so despite getting into the Champions League, it is basically like they are literally only there to make up the numbers until the competition gets to the serious end of it, the knockout stages. They obviously get more money for getting there but they don't exactly use that money wisely, they don't use it to invest in players that will make them challenge more and not just make up the numbers. Arsenal is a club that is well and truly stuck in a routine and each season is near on a copy of the previous one. Obviously I'd like us to be in the Champions League but even though we aren't at least it feels as though we are progressing as a club where as with Arsenal it doesn't seem like they are at all.
