Arguing against technology in our sport is akin to arguing against air traffic control in aviation. Refereeing mistakes ruin games, seasons, and campaigns, so if we need to stop the game a bit longer to get the correct call, so be it. Then you can't complain about the decision afterwards.
Can should have had a penalty in Monday for shirt pulling before his shot. The rules say shirt pulling is a foul. Why wasn't it given? Because we can't use the resources we have. It's a joke.
Crumbs, using that analogy, 3 penalties against us, every game, when Skrtel played for us.
Comparing it to ATC though, that's gloriously banal and not, comparatively, in the same ball park.
Only two real changes I'd make, neither technological. Timekeeping should be out of the referees' hands and a panel of three refs should review games, not the old farts at the FA, and they can rescind cards and punish players and referees.
I wish I still had the link, but a review of referees a few years back, in the Premier League, came back with them calling 91% of decisions correctly.
Mistakes are my favourite part of the game.
