I really feel that without a run of games, we will not see the best of Sturridge and I'd start him here. Swansea are thee for the taking and I'm expecting a very comprehensive win!

I would start Gomez instead of Klaven and Sturridge on the right ahead of Origi. The rest of the team picks itself.

Swansea are not a team known for parking the bus, they have leaked so many goals. We should get a nice victory over them.

I think our days of hammering teams are gone for now. We have a lot of our forward line out of form and that puts pressure on the returning Coutinho.

      Any win will do here.

If Clyne is back then the back line picks itself although will be looking out tomorrow what FIFA have to say re the Matip situation.

I doubt Origi will start having played the full 90mins and too be fair has looked off it the last few games.

Hopefully Sturridge was withdrawn early saving him for the Swans, ideally I would like to see Couts left, Danny through the middle and Bobby on the right.

But got a feeling we might see Lallana out on the right as in the last few games which would be a shame as he is far more valuable to us in midfield.
A midfield of Hendo, Can and Gini is not the most creative!

      F**k that mate.

Get Lallana back in midfield, get Ojo on to replace Mane's pace.  Minus Mane we're back to full strength, if not match fitness, so just replace pace with pace.

We've tried the swapping and changing of players positions filling in and it's unsettled our balance, fluidity and system, just go back to what we do best.

Yeah..would rather fit Ojo up there and have the manger just tell him to run down the touchline as fast as you can then keep putting Lallana up top.

Mignolet; Clyne (if fit), Matip (if Fifa/Cameroon have stopped being tw*ts), Lovren, Milner; Hendo, Gini, Lallana; Ojo, Firmino, Coutinho.

Need to get Lallana and Firmino back into the positions where they do their best work.

Early start for me for the trip on Saturday up to Anfield, and the first of four home games on the trot  ;D Should be a formality but you can never take anything for granted in this league so I'm sure Jürgen will be giving the lads a good talking to.

After a few games with very few goals, be nice to get back on the scoring trail and hit a hatful....come on lads let's do this !!

Taken the day off work for this so it had better be a good one with plenty of goals and 3 points.

Actually 3 points will do, although I'd guess after last night that won't be enough for many, many of our fans

Coutinho might well be the missing ingredient, but there is a lot of pressure and expectancy on him to be that man. For sure he can do it, but he could also struggle to shine in our current workmanlike forward line.

We need players back on his wavelength. I don't want to be hard on the lad but I hope Dancing Divock Origi doesn't start, and to be honest i'm struggling to find time for Sturridge too.

That means in my lineup Firmino gets to go back up front by default. Hopefully that guves the team it's balance back but it's not the ideal forward line IMO.

Would normally want lallana in midfield but think Klopp may be forced to play him top. No Can or Gini last night confirms this . Would like to see Ojo on bench need width and someone who hugs line

To me we are playing one of the worst sides in football, now is the perfect game for a youngster like Ojo to be starting. Use him as a direct replacement for Mane as he is the only one that has anything even close when it comes to full speed.

I can see using Lallana up front in difficult fixtures but he does not excel up there like he does coming in from the mid-field...put that starting XI and let Ojo play with good players around him and I think he would thrive.

Really no harm to the starting XI putting him in there and leaving Can on the bench.

This is the most important bit for me.  Our best performances came on the back of a midfield trio of Hendo-Gini-Lallana.  Get our engine room working right again and the rest will fall into place.  Don't care if it's Ojo, Studge, Origi, or Woodburn on the right as long as they press, track back, run in behind, and offer the same sort of energy that Mane does for 90 minutes.

Lookin forward to getting the weekend off to footballing/winning start against Swansea ...

                Mignolet
      Clyne Lovren Matip/Klaven Milner
         Lallana Hendo Can
       Firmino Sturridge Coutinho

Against this lot, starting Hendo/Can/Gini might be a bit conservative, would be good to see 4 from Lallana/Cou/Firmino/Studge/Origi.
Get the win in early, push on from the underwhelming Plymouth matches, and apply a little bit of pressure on the other chasers.

Yeah, Like Sunderland. Never count your chickens.
Going for a comfortable win myself, but always a nagging doubt in these games. For a start, It goes without saying, Their keeper is almost certainly gonna have a blinder. There now i've been and said it.
Quite like bmck's selection above, but wouldn't be too unhappy to see Ojo start.Or maybe replace Can if he's on the negative again.

If we don't play this game at a high pressing tempo and really punish Swansea I'll be bitterly dissapointed. Swansea are sh*t and we have a point to prove to the league, we need to get our mojo back and go on a good run.

Made me laugh that, I know that wasn't your intention but I had images of Ojo randomly sprinting in straight lines up and down the pitch with no involvement in the game just acting like a sprinter when Klopp shout run.....

We say it year after year but too many teams are coming to Anfield week after week and sitting deep then battening down the hatches in hope of a point or to snatch a counter goal.
It does me swede in.. >:(
This season we've overcome that really well with our direct front three of Mane,Firmino and either Origi or Porridge causing havoc with the link up play from midfield, quick movement off the ball, wide players running and clinical finishing in front of goal..... then BOOM! Coutinho got injured, Mane disappeared now Firming's off the boil..Danny and Divock haven't been able to mix it up together because, for me, they've been playing too far out wide and just haven't hit the target, despite having the chances, which is disappointing.

It's a straight run now to May and we've got a brilliant opportunity to stamp our authority and pick up some silverware on the way and what better way to prove that than four home games on the bounce

Swansea need to be annihilated I'm afraid.no sympathy, no excuses. they really are sh*te..

      First game of the weekend..
get the 3 points in the bag and keep our foot on the gas..

Not too much ask is it?

I think it would be worth going 4-4-1'1 or 4-4-2 in games like this. I think we would stretch teams more .

I think too much is made of formations.

I always get the impression that it's more more like a 3-1-6 when we are attacking and a 4-5-1 when defending.

However as always with LFC it's the transition that normally catches us out, contrary to popular belief we are pretty good defensively off second phase of play.

Perfect game to put our recent little wobble behind us and pump these.

Let's get back on the bus boys and start stringing some wins together!

Someone post something positive about this game, the mood just seems so ho-hum and feeling like the match will end in a draw. Jan really testing us.

I'm predicting another performance mirroring recent ones but getting a vital 1 nil win to leave us 4 off Chelsea who then fail to break hull down in a nil all draw. And city do spurs.

Team id go with assuming clyne isn't ready

      Mignolet

      AA lovern matip Moreno

      . Hendo lallana Milner

       sturridge Firmino coutinho

It's genuinely strange to see someone with more than 10,000 posts mention moreno in a squad! It's usually 'BIGGESTSCOUSEYNWAFAN101' with 6 posts that puts Moreno in a squad cause he looks good on the old youtubes

What's all this talk of scraping a 1-0, F**k that, Swansea are sh*t and we have Couts back as well as Matip. If we don't win this by 2 or 3 goals I'll be pissed off.

      Burnley to thrash Arse.
      Hull to hammer Chavs.
      Stoke to batter Man poo.
      Stalemate at the Etihad.

And us to smash the Swans by at least 4.  Sturridge to get 3.

Big Sam to get his first Palace win against the bitter blues...

Make my weekend!  Come on, I can dream, can't I?

Reason is twofold. Home to Swansea we should be living in their half. I think as dire as Moreno is defending he's actually quite good at getting in behind opponents. Then the moving of Milner to midfield go give that area a lift. It's been giving us nothing for weeks now.

But don't worry that's my team it won't be klopps

Early weekend kick off there is only one outcome that will make me happy and that's three points. 1-0, 6-0 not overly bothered.  Not too sure whether the early kick offs lend themselves to being good games or good atmospheres so I just want the points and then to sit back and watch which other teams drop points.

Gone for a 3  1 win for the Reds today. It is time to get back to winning ways, Swansea at home, the ideal start. Think Sturridge may well be on the score sheet today.

I kind of agree a bit but there are many factors here. Against Sunderland the whole team were knackered and off form, against Plymouth  we played the youth team against a very well organised defence, against Southampton it was a sh*t game, no 2 ways about it. Against Manure at Old Twatford I thought we played very well against an inform team and with some better finishing of our chances could have easily won. We now have some key players coming back into the team, especially Couts, who will also have had a decent little rest, so I expect us to kick on again.

Hope there's no complacency. The Swans are fighting for their premier league lives so I doubt they'll roll over for us.

Anything less than 3 pts and we can probably kiss goodbye to our title challenge.

Hoping to see the swagger return here.

Would expect them to come in their biggest bus, park it in front of Simon, and puncture all the tyres.

We've struggled a bit recently trying to break the mass defense, but feeling confident today. It's bright, and sunny, and have just had a strong cup of coffee :)    Oh, and we have Cou, and possibly Matip, back ...
Would like to see Studge start, but reckon its unlikely.

3 pts would put some pressure on the others, and let us relax and watch the rest of the weekend footy.

Swansea is poor at the moment but work still needs to be done to get the 3 points. Hope the rest in midfield turned up and not leave everything to Cou whom just back from injury. Hope the lads score as many as they could while we may need to rely on a better goal difference for a top 4 or top spot finish.

I don't think will be a breeze in the park. We always seem to struggle against these type of teams that sit back, if they have a go, then we should be able to knock them for six, but if they sit back I can see it being a long afternoon.

Expecting to see a performance similar to our September/October game.  We're virtually back to full strength so just need to get back into our groove again and this a perfect game to do it.

Strong performance, plenty of goals and an easy 3 points to the Redmen to put pressure on those around us.

      5-1 is my prediction.
