So this is our latest superstar in the making and if so "thank you Michael Beale". We got him off Chelsea thanks to Beale, who used to coach him whilst there.
He's been involved in Pep's Futures Group at Melwood since he arrived as a 15yr old, was part of the group who went out to Tenerife with Jürgen last March/April. Scored 5 in 3 games for Englands u16s in the summer, stepped up to the u18s this season with consumate ease, then wowed Jürgen when he scored a hat trick in a behind closed doors friendly against Huddersfield in the last International break.
He made his u23s debut in Sundays Cup game against Ipswich, scoring a superb volley and didn't look out of place.
We could do with a new striker when Sturridge goes, especially if Origi remains in the doldrums
