No question about it, we were beaten by a better team on the day. Congratulations to Wolves, but hopefully people cut Jürgen some slack after a horrible run. It doesn't matter who the manager is, unless we properly invest in the team we will struggle. My ratings:

Karius: No chance with either of the goals, I had another look at the first and I don't TBH think he could have come for it. You could argue he could have been braver in his starting position which would have made it doable, but did little wrong really. 6

Randall: I felt a bit sorry for the fella, I just don't think he's good enough. 4

Gomez: In truth I've been pretty underwhelmed by him since he came back, still looks to me like he has loads to learn. Hopefully he's just rusty. 5

Klavan: Is getting progressively worse by the game. Now looks a bit overpriced at 5 million quid if I'm honest. 5

Moreno: Trademark braindeadness for the second goal, headless chicken performance we've come to expect. His set piece delivery is as good as his haircut, and he's not a kid (unlike Randall) I thought he was brutal. 3

Lucas: Has he ever played worse in a red shirt? 2

Wijnaldum: If someone had told you before the game that there were two 25 million quid plus players out there, would you have spotted than Gini was one of them? Not brave enough either on the ball or off it, poor. 5

Ejiara: Silky on the ball but needs to decide what type of midfielder he is trying to be. needs to be far more aggressive in his whole outlook, he should watch videos of the bloke he looks like he models himself on, Patrick Vierra. 5

Woodburn: Once again looked the pick of the younger players without looking (to me) anything special as of yet. Didn't like the dive either. 6

      Origi: I'm sorry but I personally don't think he's good enough. 4

Firmino: Brightened up a little once his countryman came on, but flattered to deceive. 6

      Subs:

Coutinho: One or two moments, but the team was so dysfunctional that he ended up trying to do everything himself. Too slow in possession too. 6

Sturridge: Made the goal and at least tried to make something happen. He has the look of a bloke who's given up trying to please the manager though to me. 6

Can: At least he ran about with a bit of urgency. Didn't actually achieve anything but at least he looked like was bothered we were getting beat. For that reason alone he is my MOM. 6.5

We know Jurg, we had the displeasure of watching it.

It's better you don't say much else for your own good.

If you think changing the manager is anywhere near the answer to our problems of a tough month you know absolutely nothing about football or our club.

I'm with Jürgen that he honest before the match that despite the results some performances recently deserved praise and that didn't sit well with people. Thankfully he's honest again though (as he was after the Southampton game) and said it like it is.

You'll find nobody in the world better equipped to take us forward, it's that simple.

Klopp: "It was a very bad performance, we started bad, it didn't get better. There are not a lot of good things to say today."

Unlike those that were suggesting he might take the 'character' approach it's good to hear him front up to it.

As others have said though he has to take this one on the chin a bit, that defense was asking for trouble from selection and played like it. I thought he should have taken Origi off at half-time (before anyone tells me he scored a tap in, he also missed a sitter after that and the credit for the goal should go to Sturridge more than Origi). I also think that we can conclude that neither of those starting full-backs should ever start again for our side.

Another thing I will note is that the crowd were pretty anonymous until the last 5 minutes, which isn't really good enough no matter who the opposition is (no blame to them but they could have helped).

Yep, very poor day at the office that will take some recovery from because that is simply not good enough.

Yeah I have to agree, I'm devastated at the loss and angry as F**k that Klopp started such a weak team but at least he's man enough to admit he fu**ed up, that is always the first step in my book, but I am getting awfully tired of all these mistakes he's making recently and for a tactical genius he sure is having a hard time changing our system of play to make us winners again. If he doesn't turn this around quickly then he will be under a lot of pressure, especially if we drop out of the top 4.
Funnily enough I still kind of fancy us to beat Chelsea on Tuesday, for no logical reason really, but we then HAVE TO follow that up by beating Hull.

Fu*kin fuming, what is going on earth, we looked like one of the best LFC sides I have seen earlier in the season, playing on the counter, and entertaining to watch, now we are too slow and predictable, we are way easy to attack on the counter as we have no bloody pace at the back and no defensive midfield, we are pathetic at defending corners/crosses, and we are easy to defend against at present, slow boring build up play and all backwards and side wards passing, not good enough Jürgen, and too many passengers in the team who lack any passion or fight, another weekend ruined!!!!!!!!

So can you explain why Klopp sent out such a sh*t defence and team BigMick? I'm all for cutting Klopp slack, and as mentioned the fact that he admits he screwed up is a big plus, but I'm getting worried that we are showing no signs of getting out of this nosedive.
Personally I'm astonished why he didn't field the A-team today. So what if they were then a bit tired against Chelsea, a team that most fans would accept us losing to anyway, given their current form compared to us. Crashing out of the FA cup to Wolves at home is awful though, especially with them subbing off their best players with 20 minutes left to play!

Very disappointing to get knocked out the FA Cup at the 4th round stage.  Not a massive surprise given the two previous performances.

Let's hope Cameroon win tonight because the place needs some kind of lift before Tuesday.

      Fortress Anfield? Ha. Fortress Boofield.

agree mate, Can at least look like he cared and put in some challenges, and Origi is never going to be a top class striker, surely we need a better option than him, almost wish we kept Benteke as plan B option, FURIOUS!!!!

      Dog sh*t.

Not necessary to make so many change's when it's our last (realistic) chance of winning something this season and we don't have any European competition to focus on.

The youngsters have proved that they don't have goals in them in previous matches. The first team need some confidence as well so we should of started them and blew wolves away.

Poor decision from Klopp today, no excuses.

      Karius
         RANDALL
      Klavan
      Gomez
      Moreno
      Lucas
         Ejaria
      Wijnaldum
         Woodburn
      Firminho
      Origi

With 3-rookies on the pitch, Gomez just back from injury while Moreno and Lucas with no reason to be on the field and a Wijnaldum spending most probably 80% of his time with side and back passes, does Klopp seriously think that Origi or Firminho are going to score goals and that this team can beat Wolves??? With the selection of players, Klopp has to ask himself a question, has he badly underestimated the opponents? When too many 2nd stringers and some back from injury and some simply not good enough on the team it only leads to a perfect recipe for defeat because we have most probably 11 players like strangers to each other and it's no wonder there're so many side and back passes.

Klopp may likely beat Chelsea but when up against lower league sides he tend to struggle. Too much tampering with players selection in my opinion. Looked like a hastily assembled defence to me.

I watched his presser the other day when he said he could feel all the negativity around the club and it honestly lifted my heart because he was totally getting where we are.

The man is a proper f**king man and lives, breathes and feels the club.

Question tactics, question team selection by all means but don't question the man. If you do, then somewhere there's a mirror with your name all over it.

Couldn't agree more with that mate.

So are we all happy then that Klopp sent out such an inexperienced team in a must win game, in terms of winning anything this season? Is nobody angry at him for that?

I just think the priorities of the club aren't the same as ours

Just put this earlier it explains what I mean mate

Tell you what though it's another indication of the sh*te world of modern football, I have no doubts that the owners don't care about domestic trophies, what they care about is champions league football. Remember when we won the league cup under Kenny and lost the FA cup final? it was said that he would have gone even had we won it.. What they wanted it top four and not arsed about the cups.. Know why? Because if you win it you get £1.8m in prize money.. That's about 3 months wages in Coutinho's new deal, that's why they don't care, it doesn't make financial sense to them. So I have no doubt that when a manager comes in and has targets set out its around qualifying for the CL and the cups have no relevance in those conversations.. So people questioning why we keep making all these changes for these ties it's because it's no priority, the manager is told his priority is the league and final league placings and that is why the games around it take priority. Foreign managers too who's leagues don't rally focus on domestic cups come in and think, well the owners have set my targets and the cups are a bonus... There is simply no incentive from the club or set upon the manager to worry about it because there is no financial reward
It's only us who want a shiny pot and a day out, not these money leeching cu*ts who have tagged on to modern days moneyfootball

all comes down to money nowadays, money why we haven't broke the bank to rectify the squad, money why we don't take games like this seriously
