That goal Bournemouth scored to equalise is starting to look very significant

Imagine where we'd be if we'd not thrown away so many points. Not saying if we won every game, but when you consider wer really should have picked up another 5 points against Bournemouth (being ahead twice with minutes to go).

      Football is mad on times

Yes but all teams can say that. Look we are where we are, Arsenal and Manure have games in hand but we points on the board, I'd much rather be in our position. The win yesterday was vital though.

We are in third , we can keep third .... that is all down to us and certainly no one else .

We can win all the remaining games and still finish fifth, however should Arse and Man U draw and Citeh and Man U draw then it would be in our hands to finish third.

If truth be known I desperately want us to secure third as soon as possible and at the moment it's not so we're guaranteed champions league football, oh no, for me it's more to test the clubs commitment to wanting to win something.

All this talk of a war chest is all well and good but if said chest is like comparing Keira Knightley to Katie F***ing price then we'll be in for another 'nearly' season but made even harder with more matches whilst till trying to compete with a bench of kids and ne'er-do wells.

You don't win something for finishing 3rd though.

Let's face it, it'll be very surprising if we win all the remaining games. Points are going to be dropped all around us. I think if we can get 4 more wins and one draw it should still see us over the line.

Well you could argue you do win something, a place in the the champions league.

Don't Arsenal play Man Utd, if so then how can we finish 5th if we win all our remaining games??

If Arsenal win all their games and we do then they'll probably finish above on GD (might not though). We'd then be depending on City to drop points somewhere to finish above them.

It's all very hypothetical though, just can't see any of the four contenders picking up maximum points from now on in.

Arsenal still have to play Spurs at WHL

If, and it's a big if, Arsenal win all their games in hand and level on goal difference, they're still behind us on goals scored. That's the next criteria, and we are 6 ahead of them atm. Nobody has scored more goals than us, even though we're scoring 2 and 3 per game now where we used to score 4 5 and 6 earlier in the season.

7 points from 9 is not a bad week though, for a team that traditionally struggles with more than one game per week.

Because if Arsenal win all their remaining games and have a better goal difference than us they would finish above us, likewise Citeh. If Arsenal take 3 points off Spurs but Spurs then win all their games they will still finish above us. If United win all theirs with a better goal difference then same again, but that would reel in Citeh and Arsenal. Let's just say there's lots of point still to play for but we are in a good position

One step at a time. Need to overcome WBA next Sunday, and hope mancs don't get more than a draw against the rent boys.
Mancs play Arse soon as well. Another draw there will help, but of course we have to go our bit.

Can't even see any of us coming close either.  If these teams could go on an 8 or 9 game winning streaks then they wouldn't be trying to finish 4th they'd be trying to win the league.

I think it's ours to lose

Don't care if we score a goal that's bounced off a balloon and then carried over the line by a stray cat.

All about the 3 points now

Looking at the run in for Utd and Arse, I think 4 wins or 3 wins and 3 draws will be enough.

With a fit lallana and mane I'd say we would lock it up comfortably. Tough proposition when you look at the treatment room.

Still believe this is very much in our hands. If we win our games, I believe we have top 4.

Now, winning all our games is a big ask of course, but that's what we have to go for.

Sunderland were always going to hand Utd 3 points yesterday, but the other games will not be so easy.

They didn't do too bad with Coutinho, Firmino, Lallana, Matip etc. though.

Agreed, 2014- Bought (amongst others)   Balotelli, Benteke. Lambert, Moreno, and Markovich

But wouldn't pay more than £4000 a week for Alli.

      Poor business.

Mancs & arsenal have shockers of run in's. playing lots of the top teams, which they will probably draw a lot off. so only helps us.

Arsenal away to palace is no gimme, don't be surprised to see a draw in that game, or palace to nick a win. Big ben and mama with the goals. ;D.
