Been a fairly impressive points return since Spring arrived. Not only have we improved significantly in a season but we have had to contend with the most competitive top 6 in points terms for some time.

      One more win redmen.

I am nervous and worried about Boro....especially with this squad of bottlers only averaging 2+ points a match  ;)

Where were you with the optimism in those 4 pages ? As usual after the war lots of heroes pop up

Don't want to get dragged down to that level friend; its a battle that can't be won nor is it worth fighting.

Fact is we will probably finish with 76 points which will tie us with the fifth best points total the club has had since the PL started, all this with no real superstar and a ton of injuries.

These guys are not bottlers, they are learning how to be winners and its something that does not happen overnight..the manager knows this, the players know this, and some supporters need to learn this. Building a winning mentality is a process plain and simple..we saw glimpses last season, we are seeing progression this season and we are building towards actually becoming a club again that knows how to win.

Nice story bro. So what happened vs Crystal Palace? Southampton? Bournemouth?

Spurs went on a great run recently. Yeah, they were picking up like 3 ppg. You know what, that happens from time to time. A team can do better than 2.18 ppg...

It's about doing it when it counts. We had chances recently to wrap up 4th (heck, even 3rd), and we slipped up time and time again. As pointed out, we've also had chances to win the title over the past decade, and we messed that up too. Sure enough, we don't have the best record of winning when it counts.

Just want to remind you guys, we still have a game left against Borough. Got to be focused and nothing to celebrate yet.

This year, the task was to get into the European Cup. Anything more was a bonus. Anything less would be a disappointment. And anything less than Europe would be a disaster.

We're one game from achieving what we set out to achieve. We're in a very strong position, and a home game against relegated muck is an ideal fixture to get over the line, a side we have already hammered this season, so it's all set up for us to get the job done.

Borini to score the goal(s) that help Sunderland beat Arsenal on Tuesday, effectively clinching a top 4 finish for LFC?

Still need to push for Third if we can may possibly come down to GD if City Draw one  need an early Goal and we  can get 3 or 4 just might be enough if Watford dont have their flipflops on already

Maybe I'm deluded but I have a feeling Sunderland will take something from Arsenal this week.

Arsenal have won three games on the bounce which has given them a chance of top four, but seeing us win yesterday in the manner which we did will surely deflate them somewhat. They will feel defeated.

This will be their fourth game in the space of ten days or so too. Everton and then the cup final are much tougher fixtures and will take more of a priority so they are likely to make changes against Sunderland and field a weaker team.

I know Sunderland are sh*te but with their relegation confirmed they are under no pressure. This might not be straight forward for Arsenal.

2-2 draw. Defoe last minute equaliser.

Nah mate there's not a F***ing chance in my eyes! Sunderland are an absolute shower and the type of team that Arsenal always steamroller.

Doesn't matter what the Arse do anyway because we will batter Boro and it will be job done!

Was a great display yesterday but there is no room for complacency, we still need to win one more game, but if we play the last game with the same kind of passion and energy as we did against West Ham then we shouldn't have any problems, even if Middlesborough try to give it a go, plus you never know Everton might just decide to try and win a game for once........nah what am I thinking ;-)

Boro, let your reserves play. They've been working hard in training. Reward them with the Anfield experience. It'll take awhile before they get another chance to play here.

You feeling more optimistic now its simple reall if we don't best them then we dont deserve it thats how im looking at it, saying that it'll take the summer to get over it if we dont .
