      Yellow for what exactly?

coz Aguiero rolled around on the ground like he was shot

When oh when are the refs gonna get wise to this. Are they the only ones who don't recognise the theatricals ? and why wasn't the f**ker booked for harassing the ref about issueing a yellow. Thought that was mandatory now.

This is the same Gini, Newcastle fans were saying that he never gives anything and he is lazy.

Good first half for a neutral, nerve wrecking to me

No idea how this is still 0-0, could well be 2-2 or something silly like that haha

Lets take our chances in the second half now

Great first half that, weathered the storm in the first 15 then
Pretty even thereafter,it's going to be down to who grabs the second half by the scruff.

Absorbing stuff so far. Could have easily gone in a couple of goals or a couple of goals up so going in level is probably fair.

First 15-20 mins of the second half will be crucial, they'll come out fast like they did in the first half. If we can weather that then I think we can go on and nick it.

We have a fitter team, that can run more then ninety mins but they have few game winners that can produce anything.

Draw wouldn't be a bad result but City looking well beatable, hopefully we'll turn them over, preferably with the last touch of the game in the 93rd minute. ;)

Ref is a joke, don't understand how Matip was booked.

Anyway, only irk i have is that we are not composed enough, should have scored at least 2 goals.

I can see the likes of Silva and Yaya running out of steam pretty soon in this one.

      Really enjoyed that half.

Think Clyne has been absolutely awful, hasn't stopped more than 1 cross from his side and there have been possibly double figures coming in. From the other side I think Jimmy has blocked 1 only too. Not good enough at all from them that.

Jimmy did get away with a clear pen too and they're ripping us apart on the wings, thankfully Matip and Klavan have been very good once the crosses have got in there. Can is having a stormer, he's been right up for this and he looks so much more mobile it's a big, big improvement for him.

In attack I think Coutinho has been shocking but even with that we've created enough chances where we could have scored 3 or 4. Lallana on the volley, Mane clean through, definite pen and a handful of half chances that I'm amazed we haven't scored but City could possibly say the same.

Best 0-0 I've watched in a long, long time. As Robie said of course it'd be better if we were 3 up but taking the long term view quality like this is exactly what we need. Special mention for Gini too, think he's been excellent, he had one terrible moment near the end of the half but other than that has bossed his position and done very well I thought.

Matip, Bobby, Can, Gini our best players. Clyne, Milner and Coutinho the weaknesses as i see it.

They've got a plan to hammer Clyne's wing and while he's doing a very good job right now, i think it's only a matter of time they get some joy down that wing.

KDB and Silva can produce anything at any moment, too.

For us, Mane and Bob hold the key. If they play well, we could score 2 or 3.

I thought that about Yaya when i saw their team sheet, but what have they got on the bench to replace him ?fernando I pose, but he usually plays wide. Nolito ? not much of a threat.
We haven't got a lot though either.

Right, so Sky presenters focus on City's penalty claim (Milner foul on Sterling) even to the point of slowing it all down and repeating the motion in a couple of angles to prove the foul.

But on Liverpool, they skim over Mane's penalty, and skip the penalty on Gini...  :f_doh:

Didn't realise what a blatant penalty and red card that Milner on Sterling tackle was. Got away with one there as not only have we got away with the penalty and red card but even Sterling wouldn't have failed to score that without the contact.

Decent first half, chances for both sides.
City getting down the sides, mainly on Clyne's side, putting in dangerous crosses - which we've defended well.  How did Sterling miss, the little turdbag, Milner did great there.
Couple of chances for us too, Cou, Bob and Matip from 2 yards.
Mane pick of front guys, might have got a peno on another day after showing blistering pace to get in on the keeper only to 'clash legs' with the defender.
Can particularly in first 20 mins got in some good tackles, we're doing OK in the middle and have a platform of possession from midfield.
Could go either way, but we looked better coming to HT, so hopefully our extra energy will help us start the 2nd half well and continue on and get the 3 points.
Not a whole lot in it though, first goal important. Hope it's us.
