You think he gets any significant playing time with them?

He would get a ton of time...Chavs have a thread-bare squad past the XI....there bench looks shakier than ours once you get past #12 & 13.

Based on today, do we want him?

Didn't want him before today, I'd rather Wilshere to be honest.

      Not a massive fan...

Bigger priorities elsewhere (CB) and he just is nowhere near the top quality midfielder we need (compare Keita).

I always thought if he brought value for us it was to provide depth in wide, attacking players, but I think we're good there and it maybe the best position to give younger players (Kent, Woodburn) first-team opportunities. Spending 25-30 million for a backup doesn't seem to make sense. We could use another top central midfielder (and yes, I know the midfield today was fantastic), but the Ox isn't it.

Ox would thrive under Klopp. His attributes (pace and energy) would work well in our style of play. I would welcome him with open arms and apparently so do Jürgen.

I guess Conte will use him as a right wing-back ? We didn't need him, in this moment he would be only making the bench. He can improve though.

He would have been a decent squad option, but thats it! He is going to be the same at Chelsea as well. For all the talks of wanting to play in midfield, he is most likely to be a wing back option. They are likely to get Drinkwater as their 4th CB alongside Kante, Cesc and Bakayoko.

Makes me want to sign him just to stick it to the Chavs and Arsenal :D

But realistically, we have other priorities and whilst I think he would be a decent addition to the squad he isn't what would change us into title winners.

If we had a Jan/Feb like last season he very well could...fine margins and all that.

Yup. I know some don't fancy him but I think as adding depth he would be very good. Although I'm of the view that the way you improve squad quality is to sign players for the first XI and push a current starter to the bench and not signing players specifically to add depth.

But with only a few days left I would like us to focus on getting that CB in...

It's well known he is a Liverpool fan, and if we put a bid in, we would easily get his signature, but do we really want to pay 35m for a backup? Would be great to F**k over Chelsea last min though :D

He's not a Liverpool fan, believe it or not, he didn't actually really support anyone but did have a slight preference for Arsenal, that's was where he wanted to go to since his early days at Saints. He has never held us in any more regard to any other team. He will go to whoever offers him the most money.

We better not end up going for him after we went after Lemar, rather we didn't sign anyone than him.

Think Cech is about the only Arsenal player I'd take.

Not Sanchez? Hes world class, scored 30 goals and 15 assists for a poor Arsenal team last season.

I would take Cech as well  ;D
