Same genuine question Jon... if he's not being used right at Arsenal (presumably in one of 4 roles) and that is the reason he has been poor then where will we play him that will be different?
I think sometimes Mouse that there are cases of not being able to see what in front of your nose. I think Wenger has got to the stage where he has lost a bit of sight as to how to move Arsenal forward and has an issue with using what's he has.. He seems to me to have signed the likes of Chamberlain and even Walcott without a long term view of how to use them and as long term projects/young talent.
You then get to the stage where you don't judge them freshly/fairly as opposed to what you bring in for the following summers after they sign and they tend to become a bit of a blur in your strategy.
It can happen in any business, you have a new role come up but you dont consider someone within your company as they are part of the back ground, they may well be perfectly suited and would flourish in that promotion but you consider the guy with fresh ideas you interviewed the other day Instead and become blind to the talent in front of you that has worked for you since being a part timer on a Saturday years ago.
Sometimes that person just needs to make the jump and go flourish at a new company where he will be looked at with those fresh eyes and his ideas will make his new boss sit up and take notice.
Bringing it back to the Ox 👍.. I think with Wenger he's looked beyond what he could do if he gave him responsibility in a role he would flourish in and just looks at him as a lad who can do numerous jobs for him filling in here and there.
What Chamberlain is doing that say Walcott hasn't is say, this isn't working I'm going somewhere where I will be that managers signing who will have an idea of how to use me and will judge me on what I do in that fresh environment rather than just someone who has become blind to the manager.
I also think that Chamberlain is a Klopp type of player and that Klopps football that we are playing now will suit his skill set.. quick powerful on the break... technically good, works hard.. young..
I think Klopp will use him predominantly as an option in the middle or wide forward.. not places like wing back (which ironically is where Wenger has finally found a spot for him) and he will really flourish under a manager who will view him with fresh eyes, and rather than as a prospect as someone coming into his prime.
In my opinion Chambelain will react really well to being treated as a main part of the squad rather than a bits and pieces fill in who is still looked at as a raw kid who was signed as a project but not really every developed as one.
