Granted I'm battling daily to stay positive and may at times try overly hard to keep my chin up but I'm basing my optimism this time on the length it's taking.

The reason for that is if it was a flat out no, f**k off, he's going nowhere then we'd have given up and either moved to target number two or just gone quiet apart from VVD.

Personally I think the club accounts will show a defecit  of £150m+ this time next week and I hope it stays that way, as in nobody leaves.

I'm not sure whose fault it is that we wasted so much time on this transfer, but it seems like it was an eternal cock up from the start.
